There's a 5% chance of both seasons being 6/10 or better overall.
FLCL was a Production IG/Gainax collab. The announcement says they're getting only IG to make the new seasons. That's because anyone at Gainax who worked on the original series is working at Khara or Trigger now.
If anything deserves to get made it's fuckin' Big O season 3 but Adult Swim wants the easy nostalgia cash-in.
