and dig around for outfits featuring h. Naoto's sublabel Gouk, which combines traditional Japanese/Asian style with goth/punk/cyber. i think Kawaii Pateen also has a video or two of gothic kimono looks.

using kimono or kimono-inspired garments is really common in jfash. the pink is a great opportunity to bring in flowers imo, flowers in hair seems a common choice with gothic kimono-esque looks.

the potential issue is that wearing kimono "wrong" is associated with appropriation and cheap Hot Topic/Party City atrocities in the West. if you are using good quality materials that flatter your body, though, you should be fine.

Oh my goodness, that's got the dress I've been huntin down, thank you! I know tehre's one up on Lacemarket atm, but it's overpriced and damaged, along with being sold by a rather flakey seller. I have so many regrets not grabbing this when I saw it on YJA last year for a good price.
