Post con blues edition
As the xon coes to aclose, let's take a moment to thank those people who made this ALA a little special for yourself. Could be anything from some cute girl or guys giving you a smile to getting plastered all night with with your fellow gulls
Stay safe and see you guys at the next one.
Admit it before the con ends. Who did you have the hots for at the party?
>>8840887
Mike
>>8840887
Space Randy dandy
>>8840887
And Shy.
Would.
We sorta killed Matthew yesterday
>>8840887
Mr.Freeman and Space Dandy.
Just woke up & damn, I danced for like three hours last night. I feel like I spent $35 for a day pass just to go to the dance. W/e I regret nothing, what a great con.
>>8840887
Space dandy was a cool dude would party with again out of 10
Space Dandy getting all the honeys
Dammit to many shitty party weebs. Thanks for co-opting my con.
Might as well have been a giant club where you got shitfaced. But you know with costumes.
Other than that it was a fun con
Tfw didnt talk to a single girl who wasnt a slut.
This con was pretty fun. A lot of the panels sucked ass and the halls still seemed really crowded but holy shit you guys know how to make the nights awesome. Thank you guys for the invites to the parties! I had the most fun just shit talking all night on Friday. We were so happy to see everyone again and it was nice meeting you other cucks <3!
Who was cuter? Shy or the Trap? Who would you gas last?
>>8840932
I'll rekt you shy
>>8840932
Too bad Shy, made sure to cum into every drink you had.
>>8840934
I missed the trap unfortunately. I wish I could given him a hug or kiss.
>>8840932
Hey Shy, that girl you told me to talk to had a BF. Still was proud of the pickup lines I got to use.
Dandy got a dandy handy.
How much is parkingat the con? I don't want to walk in the fucking rain today.
>>8840965
$7.
anyone have pics from the party?
>>8840995
Only one shitty selfie.
Thanks to everyone that was at the secret oldfag party a few doors down. My bar is almost kill.
>>8841029
Idk why my pictures keep flipping.
>>8841024
>me In the back
>>8840995
I got a few
>>8841029
Thanks for having me over man
I had a great time
Being the freshman at a senior party is pretty great lol
Lurker and friend of shy here. Fuckin loving shy's reactions after seeing what everybody wants to do to her.
>>8840965
Heads up Parking D is the only one open. It's across the street
Any seagulls hanging around before the con ends?
>>8840929
It was all we had, the con itself was super shitty.
I thought the con was pretty fun after I got the layout of the area. They need a lot more content to fill up the time and I was a bit disappointed everything started to shut down around 11-12 (ie Karaoke). But parties were good, lots of food options, lots of places to spread out so its not too crowded. ALA did a good job and just needs to work out the kinks for its growth.
I'm a bit sad its not small anymore though. It felt like a mini Fanime this year.
Andrew was the biggest fucking bro. I'm inclined to make Andrew award ribbons for next year for anyone I catch helping people out.
>>8841155
>>8841166
That creeper photographer from TouhouCon is in the Convention Center hallway. Staffers are keeping a close eye on him in case he decides to pick up underage cosplayers.
>wake up
>remember how cringe you were last night
>Rain and wind kills any cosplay gatherings and forces people to crowd up the Convention Center.
Fuck this, I'm going home. Con in Ontario sucked. Never again.
>>8841209
We all do stupid shit friend. It is ok!
>>8841138
That is why we love the guy, he is always helping out.
>tfw your friend brings you to some room and you walk in on beanie doing lines
you guys go pretty ham
>>8841245
D I C K S Q U A D
Staffed for Prog Ops, nothing spectacular for me on this. Wish I could have partied but being two miles away and having to be back by 9 every day is a bitch.
But Destiny panel was awesome. Ugh I really wanted to talk to the hosts more about lore and shit but couldn't, oh well.
Anyone give me a proper explanation on what happened on night 1 of radison?
>>8841173
Cute
He deserves a Honey
Hey guys dandy here, enjoyed and had fun with you all!(especially those that put up with my bar tending) hope to see you at AX with andrew and the rest.
Should be going as Kamina but might to a Yuru Yuri cosplay with some people
Whoever were cosplaying The Fans, I just want to let you know that I want to fuck Corey into unconsciousness and that you guys genuinely made me happy. I lived out a Hotline Miami 2 moment in real life.
>This party sucks
>>8841209
Everyone there probably got so hammered that they all forgot
Right?
>>8841209
No ones judging you, unless you were that guy that space dandy and andrew had to drag out because he was too drunk and wanting to fight people
>>8841338
Aw man I missed that
>>8841155
Ye dat me
>>8841304
sorry dude we literally had a foursone right after the party with our masks on and you weren't invited
>>8841286
Do you have glasses?
>>8841338
No judgement here, I know I've been there before as well. We weren't trying to kick the guy out, we just needed to make sure he got back to his place safely.
>>8841173
Sorry that im shit at interacting and only took photos, I just enjoy hanging out without having to talk much.
>>8841378
No prob man, you took some damn fine photos of me, probably going to make it my FB pic
>>8841378
>>8841378
Thanks for the great photos, we didn't get remember to take any while partying
>>8841381
I don't want it to end
>>8841388
>MFW the Radisson doesn't want to do anything with ALA moving forward.
I'm sure they were not too fond of weebs being drunk and almost naked turning the lobby into a massive clusterfuck.
is it actually storming hard or are people just being LA piss babies?
>>8841388
Thanks bro! Loved the instant pic, I'll treasure it always!
I'm stuck at the Radisson tonight. It's raining too hard where I live to get picked up.
>>8841397
Is it just me, or is it getting harder to find photos from the con?
>>8841410
The con space was way too fucking crowded for pictures and there were a fuck ton of cosplay that weren't even anime.
That and there was a lot of generic/repetitive cosplay at this con, you only need so many pictures of X or Y
>>8841408
Oh neat, a picture of me. Thanks bro.
Having a final drink at the airport before I head home. Had an amazing con, most fun I've had in a super long time and my first ala. thanks for making it awesome seagulls.
>>8841403
>MFW imagining Radisson's face when that lobby clusterfuck
Requesting R34 of everyone cumming inside Shy's trash can with her inside.
Heading home, peace out. The handful I met of you were chill
>>8841416
I mean even just trying to find meet up photos. Usually a "did you take my picture" or thread for people to link their photos should up. But I'm not seeing anything. Maybe it's cause people really don't use coscom much anymore and the gathering pages on Facebook don't seem to be getting anybody sharing photos. I was hoping to see photos from the zelda gathering.
>>8841403
Good fuck that shitty ass run down hotel, next ALA I want nothing to do with that shit
>>8841403
>elevators barely worked
>AC didn't work
>showers weren't working in half the rooms
>ice machines all broken
>toilets may or may not have worked depending on luck
I'm so sad, the only redeeming part was how little fucks the staff gave
Look at all these peasants that meet up at ALA every year like a religion, I've occasionally monitored these people over the years. Not one of them has done anything with their lives.
it's so sad this is the end game of this sub culture
Lol all you who stayed at the rad. Was in the double tree and super glad about that choice.
>>8841459
<generic reply here>
I am so glad I cosplayed on Saturday and not Sunday. The weather has been awful today.
>>8841209
It's okay, anon. I had the same exact feeling this morning.
>>8841435
Good shit.
Shy says she thinks she might be slowly becoming a meme. So let's make that happen.
>>8841471
>double tree
party?
>>8841480
Next year mate
Anyone remember what time the party was kill last night?
>>8841493
around 3 am
>>8840934
Which one was the trap?
>>8841408
>>8841538
All I have, hope everyone gets home safe and had a good time.
Fuck me. My windshield wiper sucks and Im super nervous already to drive on wet roads.
Who are these new gen seagulls? I don't think I recognize anyone in these B&W photos.
>>8841574
No Masa, Maguma, or that one latin american chick.. Yeah, it's a new gen.
What's everyone's next con?
>>8841616
The oldschool folks were in my room, which was a couple doors down. That party was too loud and would have been shut down at the old venue, but the ppl running it were cool and it provided a nice distraction for security to keep my room going. Staying another night but its a more chill night tonight.
>>8841209
Thanks for being so cringe.
I'm usually fucking terrible, but you took all the attention off me.
You fuckers had the best party I've been to at a con. Probably. Shit.
Mad props to the 3093 hosts.
>>8841642
Fanime. Turn up.
>>8841691
See you there, nerd.
>>8841403
They didn't provide a fridge, microwave, working TV, or proper service for our room, and numerous facilities had all measure of issues simply dealing with a moving influx of congoers. They can go fuck themselves in every orifice their staff members possess.
Will you guys be doing the same thing AX?
This will determine if I go or not.
>>8841642
Sakura Con then AX!
>>8841738
Oh man if you thought ALA was lit then i can tell you AX will be a fuckking forest fire
>>8841408
>can only tell that that trap was a dude now that I see him in photo
Anyways, this is pretty much how I would sum up the party.
https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Yjr5TR8_Zws
>>8841438
It was nice to meet you Saturday night!
>>8841738
Can't speak for Andrew but I am working with some good deals to try and set up something for us at the Ritz Carlton. Obviously, it will need to be much more controlled, but I think I can cut a deal with some things I have going for me.
I plan on going as Kamina, not dandy(because that would be too hot), just check around when the AX postings on CGL start going up, we both plan to have a decision by then.
>first ALA this year
>go to the Radisson on the 2nd night
>tons of cosplayers getting their drank in the halls at the Radisson
>go to the bathrooms near the game room
>2 of the 4 sinks are filled with the mouth remains of the shitfaced
>>8841756
Sounds like a normal con party honestly, although the radision did just stop giving a fuck and every party went overboard
>>8841654
security somehkw ended up joining the party.
>>8841739
Yes, we will be at AX this year. We would love it if you were to join us and sign our poster of shame again.
>>8841676
Thank you, you are being too damn kind. All that matters is that you guys had fun.
>>8841773
>My Loss didn't get completely fucked
>>8841780
Hey man, too far...
Bumping the music was my highlight. Enjoyed it more than anticipated. Let's do Fanime
>>8841786
LOL
OLO
LOL
>>8841790
You did good, man. You did good.
>>8841024
hi stalc
>>8841824
Thanks. Still trying to get better. I stream for an autistic radio station and hang out on Mogra threads
Hey horny Drunk guy who was into traps. What was your steam account name? I couldn't write it down during the party. (No I am not the trap at the party, I was the curly haired guy who drank only coke)
>>8841846
>Hey horny Drunk guy who was into traps
You're going to have to be more specific than that. That was half the party.
>>8841849
Good point.
The one that grabbed some fresh nuts.
Now it only limits it to about 3 people.
Drops to both DJs and the stormtrooper for dancing for about 5 hours straight.
>>8840887
the guy in the weird cowboy button up. crazy fun guy.
>>8841865
I am pretty sure there were like 3 guys with cowboy button ups at some point during the party.
Man, I really feel like I missed out on the party life at ALA.
I was busy with a photoshoot on Sat night and just too dead to party, even though I was right up the hall from the huge 3rd floor Radisson party. I stepped out of my room to go for a stogie right as the mass exodus from the shutdown was happening.
>>8841878
that's freeman
he's a bro
>>8841909
That is DR. Freeman to you sir.
>>8841909
Freeman is indeed a bro. I kicked it with him a few times during con afternoons, first time in ages I'd run into him.
>tfw went party hopping just to take shits in their toilets and not flush
>>8841538
You actually got a picture of me. Thanks man, I wish I knew you were hanfing them out though.
>>8841958
I feel so weird missing out on the ALA partying. I was that guy doing a shoot around midnight on the 3rd floor, so I could hear everything below, but I missed out on most of the actual partying. There were some hot-ass girls wearing close to nothing, makes me kinda sad I didn't mack on them.
>>8841968
Most of them have boyfriends. Sorry, anon. :(
I was eating a burrito and saw Freeman saying it was nice meeting some people
KANPAI!!!!
>>8841855
Three people groped me? I only remember asking two people.
>>8841353
Forever fapping to this. Especially to the thought of the Corey and Ash cosplayers being together.
>>8842028
That's funny, Alex and Ash are together.
>>8842038
Wtf, incest promoting degenerates
How were the cosplays this year? Anything noteworthy?
>Walked around con constantly
>Managed to meet a lot of new friends and ran into old seagulls
>Somehow managed to dodge every room party and crazy antics
I'm at that weird stage where I'm liked and remembered by a good number of people but get instantly forgotten when it comes to parties as I am not liked enough by everyone to be informed of all the partying.
>>8842100
It was Undertale
>>8842100
There were so many cosplayers it was actually kinda weird. Like usually there is a nice mix of normies and cosplayers but it didn't seem to be the case. After seeing x,y,&z so many times it just kinda gets dull. Nothing really stood out too much.
>>8842104
You should have just joined whatever parties were mentioned in the thread.
>>8841654
guess I wasn't old school enough for you this year, then? next time, just tell me "no" instead of "later" and never getting back to me and ignoring me for the rest of the con.
>>8842144
Woah dude you might wanna get your sodium levels checked out.
Just chill and go with the flow. I'm sure you'll be invited to something if you keep it cool.
>>8842144
Wat
>>8841302
Yoooo its the Jack in the Box dude
You guys seemed really chill
We were the punk fucks
>>8841932
My nigga.
>Tfw watching the Radisson lobby party from a distance
>Wanting to join the fun but don't want to be an awkward fuck that probably ruins the fun.
I'm not a newfag to this con and not autistic. I just have a hard time mixing it with people you probably see a few times a year.
>>8841909
Thanks for telling me. I'm terribad at names and I was pretty smashed so being able to put a name to the face helps
>>8842480
Most of the time you just have to remember his beard
>>8842442
Please don't be afraid to join next time! We love you, anon.
>>8842442
>Lobby party
>Going there instead of the ones happening on the 3rd floor
>>8842560
Seriously, the lobby didn't last for too long maybe like 2 hours tops.Once the sluts left and booze emptied people left.
>>8842504
Legendary
>>8841987
Yeah, I know that's usually the case with girls at cons. These days it feels like every girl that's decently attractive is either taken, batshit crazy, or way too young.
>>8842591
>These days it feels like every girl that's decently attractive is either taken, batshit crazy, or way too young.
It's always been that way.
>>8842592
Not in my experience, at least. Back in the pre-'08 or so days, I used to meet single girls at cons all the time and dated or hooked up with quite a few, and then in '08 met the girl who was my GF until 2013.
What do you think the chances of ALA being hosted again at this hotel are?
>>8842638
0%
ALA seems to have become a Godzilla of a con, leaving ruined buildings in its wake.
Going to post some random photos.
>>8842560
I wasn't staying at the Radisson. I just went there to play some Vidya and saw that massive party.
I also thought that was the /cgl/ meet up too.
>>8842652
>>8842592
This.
>>8842638
Well ALA is planned to be there for two more years at least so I'm assuming they have a contract. Radissons are known for being rundown party hotels anyway. Kinda like a step up from a motel six. From what I heard a lot of rooms had issues before congoers even got there. I'm just wondering if people got charged for the damages? I'm not sure if the staff didn't care or if they just didn't know how to handle such a huge situation.
Honestly, if they added more panels/one's that weren't cringefest people wouldn't have resorted to partying so hard so early.
>>8842657
I missed this bane. My badge name was a stealthy banepost and everything.
>>8840913
ILU 2 Bleed
>>8841063
Soto bro, now I know you live so close, we WILL be kicking it again soon!
>>8841438
Always a pleasure Pixel!
>>8841676
>Mad props to the 3093 hosts.
Fucking this. All the fucking ALA signs combined with the DJ really made things killer. I know I sent some people I trusted your way and I hope that caused no problems. I told them to tell you Freeman sent them and if any problems were had to get ahold of me. ILU guys. Mini-ALA within the Raddison was one of the highlights of my con.
>>8841878
Was a pleasure to meet you! Hope you had fun!
>>8841909
You're a bro too!
>>8841918
Let's hang whenever possible next con we're both at. I'm always down to chill with some seagulls.
>>8841932
Doesn't fucking matter, none of the room toilets flushed right anyway... none I went in anyway.
>>8841958
>Man, everyone in the Raddison lobby was absolutely sloshed on Saturday night.
I learned a new term that night. "crossfaded"
>>8841996
Always nice to meet new people, hope you had a blast anon, it was nice to see you too!
>>8842504
It's the dead giveaway I'm afraid.
My actual ALA post will be in a little bit, but shit, this was one of the better ones imho.
>>8842564
The lobby party was planned to only be a few hours. The hosts had a panel to go to.
>>8842335
>Tfw Jessie was there and I had no idea
>>8840887
That one hot guy who never said anything but seemed to be at every party.
>>8842739
>All the fucking ALA signs combined with the DJ really made things killer.
Thanks Feeman. Glad you enjoyed it and thanks for signing our poster of shame.
Also huge thanks to the dj who took over for me while I partook in extracurricular activities and while feeling sick. You the mvp man.
>>8842747
Did something happen at Farmhouse or the ALA party? I saw quite a few people making comments non-specific about drama or "thanks people who didn't get involved in the saltyness" plus some mentions of at least one person being flat-out missing for a while, and someone making emergency 2am ride requests
Yall get into some wild shit
>>8842802
Thanks for not letting me forget all the shit that kept dropping off my back
And thanks to whoever got me water
>>8842804
Nothing major happened. Everyone was just going pretty hard. Salt levels returned to normal along with blood alcohol levels.
>>8842804
in the 3093 and radison 3rd floor everything was about as far from salt as possible. Dunno about the rest of the con,
>mfw people didn't cut through the pool deck area to the twilight zone elevator to get to the high number rooms and walked from the lobby
Seriously though, day 1, that was so not clear to so many people.
So what exactly was up with the fire alarm at the Double Tree? The manager said it was a false alarm when he let us back in, but I saw the firemen carrying in hoses and at least one police officer enter.
>>8842982
Cellphone battery blew up or something, then panic happened instead of people just taking care of the problem in the room
>>8842986
I heard they threw the phone into the hallway after it exploded. Other than what you said, I've seen no other hard evidence or info.
>>8843004
Yeah either way I enjoyed everything going on in the radison much more than anything in the DT
Where are all the cosplayer photo dumps at?
>>8843112
This desu imo
>>8843112
Some people had to work today. I'm guessing the photos will really kick off tonight at some point. Also gotta make sure you plaster the shoop on before it hits /cgl/
You know what we needed more of? 7-Up and Bud Light.
>>8843112
I usually don't start getting photos out for at least a week after the con. I'm beat today and not really feeling up for anything beyond basic sorting and flagging.
>help drunk people sober up and help them to their room
>most don't remember me because they were too drunk
Anyone go to the monster girl card game panel? One of my friends hosted it.
>>8843224
You'll be getting a ribbon from us next year for being such a champ and helping out your fellow con goer.
>>8842667
Staff member here! None of us were alerted to the damages and shit until literally Thursday morning. Apparently, some dumb shit on the 1st floor hung his jacket on one of those 'do not pull' water spouts and it flooded 36 different hotel rooms in the hallway. A lot of staff got moved to different hotels as a result.
What am I supposed to do now?
>>8843315
>Not giving people your skype/steam to hang out with and play vidya with until next year
Also most of the people lived in either north or south cal so if you are lucky you can hang out with them again before that.
>>8843322
>tfw two people you met at con live literally minutes from your job so you can go chill after work.
What's even cooler is one of them has an open room with rent only a little more expensive than I currently live, so I might be moving in with them. Gotta hang out a LOT before that happens though.
>>8843319
Make sure to not forget who it was. You guys were much help and want to thank you for it. I'll be buying Shy and her husbando drinks next time I see them.
>>8843004
It was someone by our room in the Doubletree. I didn't see what happened, only the aftermath. There was just some charred areas on the carpet by one of the vending machines on the second floor. They cleaned most of it off by the 2nd day.
Does anyone know what happened with some big dude hitting some tiny girl? When I was leaving the dude checking us out said the police had to get called to break up a fight.
Also they said this wasn't that bad of a con, they're used to big rave conventions where it's twice as bad. Liked the new place, going back next year for sure.
>>8842813
No worries buddy, glad you came over.
>>8843387
Yeah, im shit at taking photos but a /bane/ poster requested them.
>>8843392
Is that why the cops and ambulance rushed over on Saturday? Or was it Friday?
>>8843410
Friday was alcohol and hot sauce intoxication.
>>8843411
...deets pls
>>8842920
They're talking about the group I party with, not the gull parties.
>>8843410
There were police and ambulance outside on Friday. Not sure what the fight was about, but I've seen some disapproving comments about it. If anyone does know what it was about, message me on Facebook because drama sustains me.
>>8843413
Different person here, but from what I heard there was some alcohol/hot sauce challenge going on in one of the hotels and some girl got fucked up by the hot sauce and was taken out in a stretcher.
Who knows how true that is.
Anyone from ConOps? I noticed you guys were keeping an eye on Erni the creeper photographer. Did you guys catch that faggot in the act and had him arrested? You fucks had Ontario police monitoring the place, I was hoping so.
>>8843420
If it was that nuclear shit then it could definitely fuck someone up
Some of those peppers they cultivate nowadays are suicide
>>8843175
Next year I'm bringing a 48 pack of Costco's light beer.
>No outside food inside the convention center
>Smuggle in Double Doubles from In-N-Out in backpack.
Con security sucks balls.
Anyone check out the dance?
>>8843439
>Going to In-N-Out
>When there's a Wendy's right next door
Have you even had a Baconator before? Shit.
Now that I am home and got a nap in, time to recap the con.
-Tough Crowd panel on day 0 went great, but had a bad time slot
-Cgl meetup had to be located last minute due to the pool being locked off, but it worked out great in the Raddison Lobby. Great turnout, gave away over half of my "Sloshed Seagull" ribbons just at the meetup.
-3080 tripfag party room aka the Relapse Retreat went great, got to party with a bunch of people including a bunch of anons. My appologies to those who I wasn't able to bring over, ~25 people is the max I am comfortable with in the room before it becomes a sauna. I will host more parties in the future
-New con center is pretty sweet, though some of the hotels left a lot to be desired. No ice machines at the Ratchetson meant we had to go on ice runs everyday.
-Free fucking parking
-Jungle juice and space fireball sent many people to the shadow realm
Overall it was fun times, best con in a while and a great way to break in the new venue.
Greentext ALA time? Greentext ALA time...
>See QT cosplayer
>Realize it's Noir from Dog Days
>Ask her if she's cosplaying her just to be sure
>She freaks out that I've been the only person to recognize her
>She says she has a whole group but they thought no one would know
>Take picture
>The group goes to change into full Dog Days and will be right back just for me
>Floating on Cloud Nine
>Wait 3 hours
They never came back. Anyone have any pics of the group if it happened?
>>8843439
Was it raining? Security was inviting people from the food trucks to eat inside actually, he was even standing next to the "no food and drink allowed inside" sign too.
>>8843454
Yes bro but if they had come back man you and I wouldnt havent spent all con chillen.
Silver linings man.
>>8843447
Oh yeah, thanks for the ribbon. It was awesome that you went and handed them out to complete nobody-level anons. It was the first ribbon I got at the con, too.
Ratchet-ass Radisson wasn't worth the time. Going to the Renaissance next year.
>>8843463
I liked their breakfast buffet
>>8843475
>$14
>>8843461
Very true anon. I'm not sure what would have happened if they did come back and I got their pictures. Split timelines man.
>>8843463
For what it's worth, our toilet flushed 1 out of 3 times. Our fridge didn't work and when it did it was very noisy. Con phones WERE down during the Farm party. No extra pillows for extra people (even though you did get a lot to begin with). No hot water Sunday morning. Elevator near the party rooms felt like the Tower of Terror on more than one occasion for me. Pool area closed way too early. Overcharged the room then got the charges removed was a hassle. I've got my complaints but honestly what kind of shitty ALA did people have to deter them from the Raddison so badly?

The Azures/Ayres was actually pretty nice. The rooms were spacious and had some nice amenities including a minifridge, a sink, a microwave and a single serve coffee maker. I was expecting much less. The only problem I had was our ceiling lights (not the one in the bathroom though) didn't work but to be honest- the lamps were really all we needed.

Forgot to add
>Ask if late checkout is free
>Yes it is, but you can only request it the morning of checkout.
>Sleep in
>Wake up ask about late checkout
>Late checkout is only an extra 30 minutes
That one actually pissed me off.

I honestly had a fucking blast, and I talked to you at least five times that con. However, my biggest issue was literally only in the form of "The Radisson". Every party was made fantastic by the people in each party. These various DJ's brought their own shit to the AssMadisson, they could bring their shit to any other hotel as well. The dudes bringing drinks, mixing drinks, serving drinks, and drinking drinks were the ones keeping that boozed up vibe rolling easy. The typical individuals were fun and easygoing, nobody was a stuck-up faggot who actually attended parties. The only thing they did right was ignoring most noise complaints, and even then, they shut down a number of parties.
My room did not have a fridge, the hotel staff ignored our Do Not Disturb signs two times and opened our door asking if we needed service, they didn't give us the keys we needed, and they didn't respond helpfully to any request we had for them. Not to mention our hot water was literally nonexistant on Saturday, but we just laughed and took cold showers while swearing loudly.
The Radisson needs to fix their shit up. I get that it was "our" dorm, but shitty service and maintenance is not forgivable just because it's up to us to have fun.

I know exactly how you feel
>Party over, head back to room
>Do a quick Google search to see if Radissons offer late check outs
>Says they do on website, up to 6pm
>Following morning ask about the late check out
>"Sorry sir, late check out is at 12:30"
>>8843487
I stopped by a friends room over at the Azures/Ayres. It did seem fairly nice, even through the sheer volume of clutter they had in the room.
>>8843490
we will probably be looking into a suite at the Madisson or one of the other hotels. I am glad you enjoy our bartenders work. Hope to see you nect time in a not so shitty room/hotel.
>>8843490
>shitty service and maintenance is not forgivable just because it's up to us to have fun.
A very good and valid point. Well made.
>>8843495
Here's the thing. If there was another con starting the next day, sure. I believe it. But no.
>>8843495
Please enlighten me? If there's a trick I'd like to know. I can pack my stuff up in less than an hour, I was just concerned about my roomies who were still asleep.
Gamedraco Art and Cosplay on facebook is starting to post up some gathering photos.
Many thanks to Freeman, Dr. Scientist, Mike, nine-ball, Space Dandy, and the many other seagulls I got to meet in the first /cgl/ gathering I got to attend. Especially for hosting the room parties, they were just hype/chill enough that I felt quite comfy. Y'all were as fun to hang out with as I've read about in these threads all these years, hope to see y'all again come Fanime!
>>8843429
Not Con Ops but I know they were keeping an eye on him, dunno if he actually did anything.
>>8843535
Was Mike the guy who called everyone "senpai"?
>>8843366
>All the girls wanted Dandy
I was not aware of this until I just tried to sleep in a corner
>>8843462
Hey, we were all anons once. Nice to meet you.
>>8843509
>>8843495
If you check out it takes them a while to actually check and clean the room, especially if you are doing it on the last day of the con when housekeeping is super busy. That usually buys you a couple of hours. If housekeeping come by you can tell them you are making trips to the car and will be out soon. Just make sure someone is in the room because your key cards will be deactivated.
>>8843490
The hotel was passable but not great, but they let the congoers get away with a lot. I heard about people getting kicked out of the double tree and several other hotels because of noise complaints. Its kind of the trade off you have to accept if you want to host a party.
>>8843535
Glad you had fun anon, next gathering will be more organized because we know the layout of the san jose con center.
>>8843442
I danced basically all night, it was great. Really good music.
>>8843509
Honestly, it's very easy to figure out, but I'm still not sharing or else the rest of you weebs will abuse it.
>When DATA BASE started
Best part of the night
>>8843610
Aww thanks, I wish I could have played anisons for a bit longer.
>>8843610
>When the DJ begins to spin to Motteke! Sailor Fuku!
I was such weeb trash this con, I'm so disgusted and proud of myself.
>>8843552
I was yelling 'kanpai' a lot, maybe you were confused
>>8843454
Holy shit you guys have no idea how happy to see that it actually happened!
Happy end!
>>8843454
It's sparklepipsi on FB group I think
>>8843703
>sparklepipsi
Thanks for that! I'd love to do some Dog Days as my first armor attempt cosplay. Perhaps a nice stepping stone to the HEV suit.
>>8843666
Nah, I just forgot about wordfilters.
Good times were had! Very busy with the new move and making sure things ran smoothly behind scenes. Aiming to clean things up next year!!!!
>>8841616
I was in the masquerade and then had a panel till 1 AM. Also running a con eats up some time and a half ;P but I hope y'all had a good time for the most part. Gonna be working on some stuff for next year.
If anyone's got any serious concerns, suggestions, or things they'd like to address, you can email em to me.
>>8841773
Yo man, don't take the posters :/
>>8842638
We have a 3 year contract. We'll see what the wrap-up meeting has to offer.
>>8842646
To be honest, it's not the con that does it. It's the attendees. Attendees need about 10% more chill :P
