So I need some help picking out frisk yarn. I'm torn between the three. The turquoise would look most accurate but I hate the color combination and I often see frisk fan art with a more purple ish color. I'm stumped!

Update from last thread, made an extra piece for the dial to help make it more proportionate, and made both shoulder pieces. The right one is partially heat formed, but I need to go and buy a heat gun tomorrow to really get anything done. All that's left now is to make the waist pieces and the back piece with the switch, make sure it all fits together, then heat form, seal, sand and paint.

A little over one month till the con and I'm overly exited.
We found out that there's a small national group that enjoys Undertale and we're meeting at the con. Some people aren't really "serious" cosplayers but it doesn't even matter anymore.
I'm going full out on this costume, resin hearts, scary flowey, custom styled wig. I hope I don't completely suck. We even comissioned a fursuiter to help us with Asriel, we're going for a Japanese fursuit look.
I just wish I could knit, so I could make Frisk's sweater instead of sewing fabric.
Yarn anon back again. The swatch went good (not the color I'm using, I'll just make a hat out of it but still needed a swatch to see the stitch length and how it knit up)

I used this tutorial plus looked up youtube videos to help visually explain the weird parts. I messed up the first couple of raglan decreases because I wasn't moving my markers right but after that they're all even!
My only suggestion for this tutorial is, if you're short and don't have a nice rack don't knit more than like half an inch plain once you get the sleeves and body on the needles together. For some reason I had it in my head that knitting a bunch extra there would help make the sweater baggier but it didn't, it just made it longer. I knit plain like two inches before starting the raglan decreases and now the top stripe hits lower on my chest than I'd like.
I knitted bottom to top and something that tutorial didn't tell me was if you bind off the collar normal it won't stretch and you'll have to undo the whole damn bind off, put it back on your needles, and redo it with a stretchy bind off. So any recommendations to make a Frisk cosplay stand out? I've started knitting my sweater already, and I've got a few plans... like making a flowey crawling up my arm, the 'bloody' bandage and stick Frisk starts with, and for the wig I was planning to combine two short brown wigs to get a full fluffy look. Confidence is often a fake it till you make it. Some advice though, I'm not an actor, but I work with actors for my job, and took quite a few drama classes. I always got super nervous at first and didnt realize how much I was holding back, even in an environment where I was told 'yeah go hog wild, improv it up'. But eventually you get into it and just stop caring. Same concept for cosplay for me if I'm ever trying to be 'in character' for what ever reason. I really stop caring after a while and just have a ball with it.

Tbh I get nervous about acting in character at cons too but when I've just sucked it up and done it, it has always been a lot of fun and you can only really get better at it by just doing it. It helps a LOT to practice beforehand as well. Before I cosplayed Peridot, I listened and read out her lines a whole bunch. Learned to mimic the way she talks and whatnot. Body language is important too. I was surprised to find just how much easier it was to act and respond in character just after doing that. Also, I find that it doesn't matter if your voice is not exactly the same as what people expect for a character as long as you have the same sort of dialect/intonation/feel. Of course Undertale leaves a bit of room for interpretation but you could probably just find some good voice acting someone did for MTT and learn to mimic that.
Oh, and I would definitely plan out a script ahead of time but be kinda loose with it depending on the situation since you never know how other people are going to respond.

I think a problem I have is that I'm British, and therefore have a regional accent (not saying where, but it's recognisable as being from that area) and so I'd feel as though people are judging my voice, especially when I'm also trying to mimic MTT's speech patterns/voice acting patterns.

Feels a bit weird making this post since I'm not a cosplayer, but I browse these threads since I'm a huge undertale fan.
I work with resin and run my own store. I just had a custom order for a large resin heart with a pin back and realized it might be for cosplay. The largest mold I have for a heart is the one pictured, at 5cm x 5cm. If I made these with undertale more in mind such as canon colors, would anyone be interested? Or for it to be more suitable would it have to be larger in size?

In addition to the other comments, I'd recommend re-working your gloves so they look a bit less like boxing gloves, and also re-doing your boot covers so they have more of a rounded toe. This flat-toe problem often happens with boot covers, you just need to make sure that the toe area is a super snug fit.
Papyrus overworld sprite also has a bit of detail on the boots that I'm yet to see anyone include.

It just gets worse as you go down; no wig (inappropriate hair ofc), bad makeup, jellybean chestpiece, and those arms, have you ever stepped foot in a home depot before? Mettaton's arms aren't a fucking shirt you pick up at forever 21, they're air duct tubing bullshit that you see on elementary school robot costumes.
The silver fabric around the heart is wrinkly as hell, but that's nothing compared to the downright embarrassing superhero underwear wrinkles she's got going on around her crotch. Nevermind that it's highlighted even more because the bodysuit and the leggings are two different fabrics that stand out against each other. If this person has worn the leggings on the outside instead, it would have looked less unfortunate.

Its both. Your body type just does not make the proportions look good. Everything is scrunched up your torso and it makes your hips/legs look too big and too empty, like there's something missing. I would try to give some advice to make it look better but there's really not much you can do with your own body. If there's anyone you would fit perfectly though, it would be Alphys.

But that's the thing anon, that's what Mettaton's design is actually like; it's really top-heavy. And let's not kid ourselves here, MTT is p thick (pic related). A plus sized model could totally have the right body type for him. So here's some real advice: if you can get a nice, boned corset under the outfit and hide its visibility (might be a little hard with thinner material), you could totally get your proportions better for MTT.

Okay so, I'm planning on doing a Mettaton cosplay. I'll pad for the hips and cinch, and for the top I was thinking of doing something like pic related.
Does anyone know what the best material for something like that would be?
Also, for the belt and that shit, should I use the same material people use for armour cosplays? All I've done is mostly sown cosplays so I'm not very familiar with how to make sturdy/hard material cosplay.
