There are so many scantily clad cosplays. I'd like some ideas and inspiration for characters that are much more covered up.

I've got nothing against revealing cosplays or the people that wear them, I just don't have the confidence to wear those sorts of things. I want to dress up, but most characters I think of have costumes I wouldn't feel comfortable wearing, so I was looking for some suggestions

Its just a manifestation of right-wing backlash against sjws who raise hell about "slut shaming".
Basically they are trying to rile you up by saying anyone intentionally trying to look modest is secretly slutty or doing it to draw attention to themselves, eg: "Look how modest I am, totally not a slut!"
Its rather cruel honestly, modesty should be defined by the amount of skin showing not the level of attention you seek, as that can't be accurately measured objectively.
