Yowapeda is licensed by Bandai, so I'm assuming only bandai releases the merch which is all utter crap. Same style of chibi for every single thing they release (same head slapped onto several different bodies) and then with the one chibi they make 2-3 different peices of merch. Its really killing me

Just got this bag in turquiose off Amazon for Yukio. I was super disappointed with a clear bag and felt even if I had made it work with a super stiff lining I feel the glare on the vinyl takes away from the look and I prefer to have a few front pockets to have a place to pin things in without then getting tangled with things I actually want to store in the bag.

Lurking in these threads made me really want to make an itabag for my video game husband so I finally caved in and tried to come up with a mock-up for something I could pull together with all the crap I have already.
I'd just need to buy the bad that anon linked in blue, the official buttons in that second row of buttons, and the Grey Wardens scarf. I thought I'd use the printable fabric I have at home to print his face out and sew it onto the bag as sort of a fabric patch. Has anyone thought about doing that for their bags? If you follow the steps to waterproof it after you print it at home, it should be fine for you to carry out in all weathers too!

They probably haven't thought about sealing it since the plates are just... plates and you have to get those craft safety pins separately to stick onto the back. The shop display just says "make your own original badges by just sticking it on!" etc, and a blog post I found didn't mention anything about sealing it.
I've never worked with mod podge so I'm not sure, but I think clear nail polish would work if you have the patience to go over the entire thing with that tiny brush lol. I've used clear nail polish to seal some charms I bought from a con and it works fine. You just have to make sure you layer on enough so the bristles don't leave streaks.

I found a etsy store with colored acrylic plates to make keychains but also have plain ones with no holes on the plate, but they are a a bit expensive however searching for "blank circle acrylic keychains" or "blank acrylic circle disc/ acrylic disks." Depends on if you're getting a traditional tote or you're getitng a bag like pic related.
Some come together and are "2 in 1" bags but for totes, you typically have to by a separate cover.

Came home and found my bag had been delivered but I had completely missed my FromJapan package with half my merch in it. Of course, I hadn't expected to get said package in just three days..
I'll take pictures of my WIP tomorrow when it gets re-delivered again. Currently have no idea where my Taobao stuff is, kinda wishing I had gotten EMS for that too.
Overall the bag is pretty good for $11. It's not amazing quality but it's larger than I thought and construction is pretty good. Might have to do the rubbing alcohol? trick to get the paint off if I don't like how merch looks with the dots.

Bag came in and it's pretty decent quality. Thick polyester canvas of some kind, zipper pocket on the inside. Feels like it could use a stiffer bottom. Haven't decided on an arrangement or whether I want to keep the plush in the pocket or sew him into a chain or pin I wish the lower grommets were higher up because I don't think I want much dangling that low. I couldn't just rep only one of my waifus (even though I could with the amount of Celty shit I have), so I jumped in photoshop and picked my some of my favorite fanart and put them together (with credit) and submitted it to Redbubble. And then about a week later, it was here and looking good. I honestly wasn't even thinking about aesthetics, I just wanted a bag with all the characters.
What I also like is that the bag is 2-sided, so if you wanted to see the images without all the ita stuff, I can just turn the bag around. It did come out little darker then I thought, but not terribly.
