WE M14 without a doubt ( >>1266104
). Needs a $200 upgrade out of the box, inaccurate, mags are expensive, and upgrades are expensive and are only made by one company. At least I didn't pay full price for it.
Still love the thing though and I have a couple more mags for it coming in, and I might possibly pick up two more next week.

Hi guys,

Just bought a new GBB magazine for my M1911. But it doesn't seem to load up on Gas. I push the bottle all the way in and nothing. I pull it out just the slightest and I can hear the faintest whistling, but I'm not sure if gas is actually going into the magazine or not. Is there something I have to do to this mag to make it more refillable? At the moment I gas it for about a minute and I only get about 8 shots out of it.

My other mag, I push the can in and I hear a lot of whistling and gas coming out but it gets fully filled.
>>
>>1272671
How long do you gas it up for? Any cold spots on the mag when you gas it up?
I remember my first GBB was a KWC Desert Eagle and I sold the thing because I thought it was broken when I was just filling the mags wrong.
>>
>>1272673

Thanks for fast response!

I do it for ages, but it honestly feels like nothing is happening. On my previous mag, I can feel it getting colder, but this one, the temp doesn't change at all.

I shake the can and hold it facing down into the mag. Push it all the way in and I hear nothing.
>>
>>1272673
>>1272679
I just replaced the valve with a broken mag I had lying around and now it's filling properly (I think).

Although now it gets really cold really quickly. Is this a good thing?

How much does a quality HPA tank and regulator cost? And I mean refilling, maintenance and shit.
I've been meaning to try HPA ever since I had first gearbox trouble, but HPA engines being a bit expensive, I want to start with my sidearm. I'd probably want a bigger tank, I have place to store it on my back.

The only thing I've ever felt was a hugely objective waste of money was low quality ACM repro gear or rifle externals that break like shit when I sneeze on them. That and APS anything but I have never spent money on it, just worked with it.

How many thousand dollarinos have you guys spent on airshit this month? The guys and I are putting in a bulk order for 10 TM MWS at cost, and I'm finishing a couple personal DSG and DMR builds on the side. Just have to wait for the fucking retroarms gearbox i ordered to get here. Might pick up a couple kydex grenade clips, too, they look cute.

What are good M4 midcaps?
>>
>>1273567
Official PMAG repros, G&G, MAG are all top tier and popular. I've enjoyed my Dytac 120rd midcaps just fine, too.

Try to brand match your gun with your mags if you are a noob and not familiar with tuning guns though. If you haven't altered any of the relevant parts (hopup unit, nozzle, gearbox shell, tapett plate, receivers) a straight brand-match between guns and mags should be best.

try to see if you can test friends' mags out before buying, but you would probably find MAG to be a safe bet. they're also fairly cheap. basically every mag can be made to work in every gun, but it just takes some work, and I won't assume everyone has the skill nor time for that.

I'm not bloodthirsty enough to look for reasons to shoot at other people, but I do know some very good deals for decent firearms in the US, the S&W 5906 is viewed as "obsolete", with the boom of the Glock and it's imitators, so you can get a very good all steel pistol for 400 or less.

Shame that nobody makes a GBB of it, it'd be a very sweet gun to have.

>Ever make a really dumb airsoft purchase that was literally a waste of money?
Yes, a long time ago, before these generals existed I bought a King Arms FAL on recommendation from someone on here.

Dealing with their service was annoying and bothersome, they told me batteries would fit in the RIS I bought when it fucking didn't in the slightest, the thing was heavy (though that's an FAL to you), and I'm pretty sure the trigger broke itself. The magazines were very inconsistent in their feeding. Sometimes it'd discharge several times in a row without having loaded a BB once.

Another was a Marushin "M1" Carbine with an identity crisis. It felt great, but it was in reality very flimsy and you're apparently not supposed to shoot them, gradually falling apart in my hands. Marushin apparently only made one magazine per gun, because it's cunting impossible to find a place that stocks them (or was at the time, I don't know if it changed, probably not).

What brand of magazines are compatible with open bolt WE brand GBBs?
I kinda wanna pick up some PMags and some classic bright aluminum looking ones.
I see G&P and GHK magazines on sites, but I'm not fully sure if my gun will take them or if it'll work.
On some of them, it looks like the BB feed, gas button, and rubber gasket would line up, looks similar enough compared to the ones I'm looking at, but it lacks a few bobs and bits.

>>1274368
Hi-Points are surprisingly decent for their price, they beat the shit out of all the other handguns in the same price-class, hard to break, usually goes bang, and good customer service.

Considering that everything else for a similar price is a brittle mousegun that's sometimes a deathtrap, I think they're passable.

Mostly chintzy potmetal (zamak) blowback guns in small calibers like .22LR, .25ACP, .32ACP and sometimes .380ACP, while .380ACP cuts the mustard as a defensive weapon, the other ones are kind iffy at best.

Now, while Hi-Points are made from similar kinds of potmetals (zamak), they have the sense to build it thick in dimensions, and to reinforce the castings with steel plates, and are more sensibly designed (from a mechanical standpoint).

In it's price class, Hi-Point is basically the only pistol that's actually good, the other ones being really horrible and awful (tiny calibers, magazines that can't be loaded fully, dangerous safeties, VERY brittle built quality, a lifespan of roughly 100 rounds), and I can respect that they've managed to come out with a product range that's pretty good for the kind of money they go for, their competitors churn out unsafe junk to make a quick buck, while Hi-Point puts out a good (enough) product for a competitive price, this is why Hi-Point are the rightful kings of the low budget pistol/carbine market

One of the reasons they can do this is that they strike up deals with various manufacturing plants in their area, where they can get their zamak casting done much cheaper, taking advantage of local industry to keep the cost down on their products.
I mean, the guns themselves aren't that amazing, but the circumstances of them and that they're as good as they are for their price, that's what's amazing. Also their founder died recently, RIP.
>>
>>1274461
You sure about that? I sometimes see other brand magazines with the description that they're compatible with WE rifles
>>
>>1274529
Alright, go look at we mags and a G&P woc PMAG.

For starters the lips are different.

I have owned a WE Scar, have plenty of experience with the M4's, owned a WOCx and seen LM4's.

WOC's are based on WA system gbbr m4, which some brands (VFC, Inokatsu, ViperTech and GHK) have based it upon too. While most of their mags can be used in other platforms and viceversa it WILL require modding the mags and maybe unusable in their original platform.

WE is a WE original platform. They don't share shit with the others. Best thing? They DO offer a PMAG, sell the shells (similar to pmags) to convert your og stangs into one AND they're almost half price than the other brands in mag price. You'd rather pay $60+ for a mag or $30 ish?

So. GHK AKs. How into maintenance? I opened mine up and theres so little moving parts I dont even know where to begin and Nuprol Im using seemed to lube everything up either way. Its been lying for two weeks now since the last game and I occasionaly dry fire it.
>>
>>1275197
Put a little bit of oil on every part that moves in contact with something else (bolt, trigger group, etc), lube up any o-rings with pure silicone oil, and if you're using propane then put a drop of pure silicone oil in your adapter before you gas your mags up. Keep petroleum based oils and lubricants away from plastic and rubber parts as it can dry out and crack things like your nozzle and o-rings.
Every now and then you could probably also rub down the external metal parts with some gun oil like CLP to prevent rust and add a protective layer
>>
>>1275217
Alright sounds simple enough. Any particular oil should I use or anything I can get in an asg shop?

I'm looking into buying my first gun after playing for a year or so renting and it's gotten way to expensive renting every time. I really like filling a support role so I was looking at DMR rifles and SAW's, but I don't want to be restricted to just forest/long range airsoft fields by my gun. If I want to have a gun I can take to any field and play with it, should I invest in an AEG?

I use a PC for larger events. Carries my mags, IFAK, utility tools, hydro bladder, and radio.

And there's nothing wrong with having goggles on your helmet, especially if you're doing an impression. It's extremely common for contemporary looks due to sand in the middle east.

> Even if they serve a practical purpose in airsoft

>>1276038
Meh, you can play responsibly and still deal with idiots that claim you are overshooting. Even in semi-auto.
>>
>>1276158
Defining overshooting is hard. I go sure with my M14 DMR (450 FPS), and shoot manual double bursts always. If they are close, I don't think overshooting is an issue with a 200FPS CM-030 glock, when I do 7-8 round bursts aiming to body.
>>
>>1276207
>Defining overshooting is hard
Definitely. Overshooting is totally subjective which leads to problems of all kinds constantly.

I'm a fervent defender of overshooting and headshooting because both of those things encourage people to claim their hits like they are supposed to. All done in a mature and adult way, of course.
Ironically enough I don't overshoot and most of the time after I shoot and I'm positive I did hit someone, I wait to see the reaction before shooting again.
>>
>>1276233
I agree. In some fields it's enough that you're confident you hit someone, but in other ones you have to follow the ''shoot until orange'' -code.

>>
>to lube or not to lube
Herewego
>>
>>1276621
Lube is only going to fuck up your accuracy. If you're using good bbs and good mags, you shouldn't have feeding problems whether or not you're using lube. Even cheap mags can be good as proven by Cyma. If you suddenly get feeding issues, you're probably using bad bbs, have rubbish in your mags or have killed the spring in your mag.

>>1276650
>>1276640
Double feeding is caused by the fact that your hop up chamber is able to move. Then your nozzle isn't far enough in the chamber to block the passage of following bb.
It's also possible that the bucking and chamber are way too loose and the bbs are able to almost freely pass through the lips of the bucking until the contact patch catches them.

It's more of a hobby piece, I'm largely using the thing as a low intensity target gun.

I'm kitting it out partially (mostly because fun), but I need a new bolt catch because the one on the gun seems slightly out of spec. It's on the cheaper side, and I do expect that some of the internals can eventually fail, but I got the thing for it's A1 style receiver, short length, and muzzle-brake.

Other than the bolt-catch, it's been alright.
>>
>>1278160
>WE trash
Is this just an exaggeration or what? I've been looking at VFC and WE AEG's and I haven't decided on one yet.
>>
>>1278472
WE has been notorious in the past for having bad CQ. Their modern stuff however has been very solid, especially their GBB pistols.
>>
>>1278472
WE is known for making GBBs with cheap metals, poor designs, spotty QC, and a tendency to never update their problems.
Their AK series is a prime example of that. Their contractor AKM and AKS-74U have been out for years now and they're only now just offering steel trigger components for them. Same goes for their M14 which has been out for about SIX YEARS and still has a critically flawed design straight out of the box.

I am fixing up an AEG and it's shooting low. Under 350 with an M110 spring and tightbore. What do I need to check/replace first to get this up to 400?

Check your compression components. Check the seal between the cylinder head and cylinder first, then the piston head compression with the cylinder. Use google to find guides.

Also check the seal between the hop-up and air nozzle.

Tbh I don't, I just like the wirecutter look of the LVOA. The gun itself is 26.5 inches which isn't really that large. I mostly want a M4 that looks unique.

M110 is supposed to shoot only 360fps with 0,2g bb. M120 is 400fps.

Confirm that the bucking and barrel are correctly installed first. Lock down your barrel with silicone tubing or O-rings. Make sure your gearbox is aligned correctly. Maybe swap the bucking. Wrap teflon tape around it.

if you want to be a special snowflake you wouldn't go with a m4 in the first place
