They will become friendly if you raise them but they're not domesticated and are basically solitary animals, it was probably too young to do much else, and they usually won't bite even if you're right in their face(not that anyone should put this to the test)

Not really, though they'll keep coming around so long as there is food, and they may get pretty used to your presence.
That said, it can be useful to keep possums around as natural pest control. They're part of nature's clean-up crew, and have also been known to eat a lot of ticks
