I get triggered when I see rabbits in cages
>>
>>2145336
How did you keep things clean? Don't they shit everywhere and chew stuff?

You want a large pen like pic related. It doesn't have to be specifically for rabbits. Any will do so long as the gaps in the fence are lot too large. You can make these any size by adding more panels.

she only shits in the litter box
food is in a small bowl in the dining room
water is in the hallway
she sleeps under my bed

this makes her very active and fun

She only chews her toys (pine-cone and some special twigs)

I don't have any cables exposed for safety reasons
>>
>>2145341
How much training was needed to get her to that point?
>>
>>2145341
can you explain how you trained her for all this? I really want a house rabbit with an outdoor run for it as well but I cant find any good advice

none,

since day one she always shited in the same place, if you let your rabbit lose he will always shit in the same place, all I did was put news papers in that place and later replaced with a litter box.

I always put the food and water in the same place (far away one from another) since day one and let her figure things out by herself

I just let her loose since day one and she just adapted like a rabbit in the wild.

she has same weird behaviours that I don't understand like:

fallows me everywhere I go, if I go to the bathroom and close the door she runs and jumps to my bed, when I leave the bathroom she jumps off the bed, if I leave the house she jumps to my bed and only gets off when I get home

Other thing that people finds weird is she comes when I call, apparently that's not normal for rabbits.

during the day he is in the backyard, I put him in the cage during the night, inside the house. to cover him from cats and cold.

looking to upgrade for a better bigger cage. but I kind of have to make it myself, got the stuff for it, but I'm lazy as fuck.

this one has 3/4 in wood and the other 1/4 is cage, so he can shit and pee down into the receiver.

Cage in question.
>>
>>2145340
a rabbit would jump out of that crap any time.
>>
>>2145351
>>2145373
I usually put some wood shavings or pellets in a litter box, put a ton of Timothy hay on top, and the rabbits spend most of their time in the box eating the hay.

If you go for the expen method and you're worried about messes, you can always put newspapers Down and even towels or fleeces on top of that to make it extra absorbent. But I second the pen idea. Super fucking cheap too considering a cage of the same size.

he used to sleep on my bed, and went to his cage to pee and then jump back again.
it was the shit, but when he started cutting my cables, shit went to hell, so as I said, he is all day in the garden, and only back to his cage during night.

that cage is to small senpai

he cant even stretch or stand
>>
>>2145461
I know, I bought him, and they said she was a small race, no more than a hand.
surprise mother fucker, he is not small and it's not a she. it's a he.
hence why I'm going to make him a bigger cage.
>>
>>2145336
Hows its setup?
>>
>>2145461
how do you do it in winter? does he gets cold?
my bunny suffers a little when it's under -5 to 6c.
I tried putting on him a jack for dog. but their bodies are too different, he fucks it up. not comfy enough.
>>
how do I get a rabbit to stop flinging poops everywhere? my rabbit sees me and the runs towards me, kinda runs circles around me and drops single poops in her wake. she does her regular pissing and shitting in the litter box. but this is just single poops and only when I'm there. or when she's tired of me scratching her head. she'll get up stretch and then run and jump around and drop pellets as she goes. how do I get her to stop?
>>
>>2145781
You can't, that's how they mark their territory, same reason dogs piss in small amount everywhere.

In my country the winter is like +10/11c, but you can make like a nest with a blanket on his normal sleeping spot.
>>
>>2145899
I tried giving him various types of blanket and stuffs, but he tears them, and just makes a mess of them. to the point they really don't have any warming value.
>>
>>2145308
I bought a 2 level outdoor cage and put it inside with a run attached. It took up most of my bedroom but bunbun was happy.
>>
I use a puppy play cage with some wood under it. Can also use carpet or lino. Cheaper than a big cage.
>>
>>2145781
Same for me

My bunny chases me around the house. Its cute but he shits everywhere
