/an/, why is my fish doing this? It is a goldfish. It lives with three other goldfish and an otto. It swims about and acts normal most times, especially feeding time, but sometimes I see it wedged here. The first few times I thought it was so fat that it got itself stuck, but when I tried to help it, it just swam out fine.
I've also seen it purposely fit itself in this spot and just stop moving for a while.

Is my fish suicidal? Or is it just a fat lazy fuck that can't even be bothered to swim?

None of my other fish do this, only this one.

Some sort of lateral line disease. May or may not be fatal depending on how the lateral line was damaged. Some fish just don't swim right. Some fish get bad lateral line disease from bacteria or injuries.

Good ol' swim bladder problems.

Swim bladder is a gas filled organ with which fish control their buoyancy. Fancy goldfish have really short, deformed bodies, which cramps their organs, including their swim bladders into a very tight space. Because is this fancy goldfish are prone to swim bladder problems.
Swim bladder problems can be caused by:
> Physical damage (e.g. rough handling at the store)
> Bacterial infection
> Parasites
> Subpar water quality
With fancy goldies:
> Non-sinking food (they gulp air from the surface, it messes with their swim bladder)
> Non-soaked food (expands in stomach, same result)
> Bad quality food (some goldfish are more affected by this than others)
> Stunting
> Genetic defect (too short body)
Here is a more detailed article about goldfish, their swim bladders and their issues: http://injaf.org/care-and-information/the-goldfish-section/fancy-goldfish-and-swimbladderbuoyancy-problems/

I'd start by switching to a really good sinking food e.g. Hikari Lionhead. You can and should include veggies (cooked/blanched spinach, zucchini, deshelled peas) in their diet, as well as frozen foods such as bloodworms as an occasional treat. It makes them healthier :)

I highly recommend you to read this about goldfish in general (they get bloody huge) : http://injaf.org/care-and-information/the-goldfish-section/what-size-tank-for-goldfish/
I'd also like to point out that your decoration is not safe for goldfish: they might be OK for now but as your fish grow, they are likely to get stuck in those holes.
