Does anyone here have to deal with pets having bad breath? Recently, every time my new cat meows, it sends me reeling. I don't want to be around him as much because of how awful that rancid odor is when he opens his mouth. What are your experiences? I'm gonna get pic related ASAP.
No, are you shilling that, what even is it, feed your cat better food.
Ok, no, some stuff that turns pet water into drinkable mouthwash I guess, what would you reccomend

I recommend checking with the vet to see if it's a medical disorder.

This. Your cat is probably in need of a dental. Mouthwashes/water additives may prevent new plaque from forming, but it won't get rid of what's already there, and what's already there can cause serious damage the longer it's left.

it's normal for an animal's breath to be a little rank, but if it's gag inducing it's probably rotting teeth you are smelling.

This. Get it checked on if it's REALLY nasty. It could easily be any number of things from lack of dental care. Otherwise, it's a fucking animal; you can't really expect 100% pristine dental health. The best you can do is brushing their teeth and taking them for a yearly dental, with the latter being more important than the former. Regular brushing will definitely leave them with fresh breath, but a yearly dental is very important.
if it smells really bad get it checked, my cat had the most awful breath and turned out to have several rotting teeth...
