>When a slow loris is tickled it raises its arms above its head, not because it is enjoying it but in an attempt to defend itself by accessing a venomous gland on its elbow. Given the chance – and if its teeth were still intact – it would give the person doing the tickling a serious bite.

>>2083899
The defense reflex in a slow loris involves raising the arms and opening the mouth. The lorises in the videos don't open their mouths. I'm not convinced the animal is actually in discomfort. Dogs reflexively bare their teeth in play fights but this does't involve discomfort.

>>2084667
That's awful.

>>2086665
Well, an otter, for example, wouldn't normally be exposed to canine distemper (a disease I am assuming is also communicable between dogs and seals) but we still let our dogs swim in the bays where they live. Canine distemper is killing a great deal of otters in our oceans. It is a lot like introducing European diseases into the native populations of North and South America.
It's our responsibility to keep these animals safe. As 'aw cute' as the referenced gif is, it is still irresponsible.

A toothless animal is still going to try to bite so don't be a dumbass. That slow loris also still has it's teeth. You can see them in at least two videos, one is here around 2:07. I am not sure about their other one.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_SNE2MYAotU
You are just parroting what everyone else is saying without knowing what you're talking about. Anyone with a brain could see that her raising her arms like that is a physical response(possibly reflex) from where she is being touched. Maybe she likes it, maybe she doesn't because being tickled doesn't mean its all fun and games. Its a reflex. Tree-dwelling mammals tend to move weird anyway when they aren't clinging to something with at least three of their limbs.
That being said, yes, slow lorises are suffering from the illegal pet trade and I don't even think the owners of Sonya are good ones but your anger is by far misplaced.
Now THIS is the defensive posture of a slow loris. Its their 'venom' pose in which they CROSS their arms, or at the very least bend them over their heads.

They are so fucking adorable.
It's funny watching kitchens play like they have no perspective on how much shit hurts and then go bite and claw other kittens for fun.
>>2083873
>>2085826
They had a condition that anything that faintly startled them made them faint, like the ones you see in goats but a little more extreme. Both kittens died from complications due to it.
It also looks like the black kitten may have very slight cerebellum hypoplasia with how his head seemed to wobble uncontrollably
