I'm thinking of buying a snake, but there is one problem.
I still live with my parents, and my mother is a die-hard for animals.

I'm worried that feeding the snake might bother her. She reacts badly when she sees dead animals or something similar.
Should I buy one or nay? I'm aiming to get a corn to make this a bit easier, and I can also buy pre-killed mice, but I'm still not entirely sure.
Wait till you have your own place to get an animal.

you shouldnt feed snakes live bait anyway op its bad for them, increases chances of disease and other shit too. so prekilled is better or you could look for alternative options. be careful about feeding around someone squeamish as it can make an uncomfortable environment for the pet.

Yeah, live-feeders went out of style decades ago. I have a bag of 25 frozen rats in my freezer right now.
When the animals are already dead, it is easier to cope with. Or, that's been my experience with others and my snakes. Your mom will probably be more forgiving.
The answer to your quest can't be "yes" or "no" ... it's "Research frozen feeders, get all your facts straight, and discuss it with your mom" Don't waste any money until you know she will be forgiving.

Nobody thinks animals such as snakes don't eat other animals such as rats.
The issue is breeding snakes to keep as pets and then breeding rats to feed them, causing unnecessary death and suffering for no greater purpose than human fancy.

your mom is weak, but you(implying you aren't some underage fag) are an adult, do what you want, frozen/thawed is cheaper, more available, and easier on the snake, your weak mother wont have to see it, and she doesn't have to watch. i just grab one out of the freezer, throw it in my sink, put hot water on high, wait ~10mins, take it out and give it to cookie-chan, and thats it

My mother is the only one that actually supports me on anything.
The reason I live with her is that (how much an apartment costs aside) she's an alcoholic in recovery, and no one else gives a shit.
That's why I care about her opinion that much.
