Are dogs wary of stuff such as thorny bushes? I have bushes under

Are dogs wary of stuff such as thorny bushes? I have bushes under my big windows to try and deter burglars, but I'm worried my future dog might run into them and hurt himself

An inexperienced dog might accidentally bump into them, but upon finding out it's painful, they'll learn to avoid it.

If you're concerned, why not just put a small fence/wire around the bushes to prevent this hypothetical dog from getting to them?
