Farm people: They have a tedency to attack chickens.

Regular people: They get traumatized when they see them attack anything, cat, toy dog, rat, etc.

Dog and cat people: They hate anything that aren't dogs and cats despite calling themselves animal lovers. This is the primarily reason why any animals other then dogs and cats are hated.

the larger ones have been known to snatch/kill children and dogs
i dont mind them, personally

Yeah I don't think so. Small to medium sized dogs, maybe.
>>
>>2017468
i actually saw video of a bird that attempted to pick up a smaller child. the bird lifted the child a bit, and then dropped him. but the attempt was made

That was a fake video made by a college student, trying to showcase his CGI. He came out and said it was fake. You're talking about the one featured in the news a few years back right?
>>

I have free range chickens and every so often a red tail hawk comes around and tries to get one but so far they always make it in the bushes were it cant get them.
I don't hate the hawk I just go out and scare it off by shooting up in the air.
>>
Big eagles have been known to go after deer. People would find deer killed with no predator tracks around them and obvious wounds. Couple years back, a motion camera caught a golden eagle taking down a deer.

Why do some people hate cats, Look i can ask stupid questions too!

They killed half my chickens once too, Anon. But that is nature, I should have had a roof over the whole chicken enclosure, I do now. Can't hate them for it too much, but I did plan to eat those chickens at the time... the ones left are my pets now, fuck sakes I'm soft as baby shit.

I used to raise chickens but honestly I hated the feathered fucks. I'd protect em when I could just because chickens are an investment but when hawks would try to snatch em up I'd be halfass amused and say shit like "DEATH FROM ABOVE MOTHERFUCKERS" when I went out to scare the hawks off. Besides they usually get the old or especially retarded ones and I'd have to replace the laying hens when they got too young anyway.

To my surpreme regret they never got any of the roosters. Fuck I hated those things.

no idea, they probably don't go outside.
>working shitty Target job last year (not anymore, thank god)
>cart-attending, get to leave the fucking registers and go outside where there's less bullshit
>on top of the big sign by the adjacent freeway, I see a bird that's not the usual scrounging tweeting little thing or a crow.
>it's a god damn red-tail hawk, just perchin', looking for food.
>get attached to it since I'm doing carts so much
>fast forward to April
>late stepdads birthday, first one since he passed this January
>doing carts, lucky because if had to hear the words "uh actually this is cheaper" I'd strangle the cunt responsible
>go outside, look up hawk is circling with another hawk
>any emotional barrier is put up for the day was gone, it was only 11:00 am
That was a rough day, birds were a nice sight, though.
>May
>getting ready to leave that shitty job behind, doing carts by choice to get a break from MUH-SAVINGS faggots
>hear a shriek like an eagle from a movie
>takes me a second to register "oh shit the hawk is making noise, it rarely ever does that"
>it's still mostly hanging out on the sign, doesn't seem to want to leave it unless it actually sees something worth the time
>couple days later I'm walking by the big sign by the freeway
>hear little peeping type noises coming from up there
Hope my hawk-friend is still doing ok, last I heard from a friend it looked healthy.
>>
>>2018622
Supposedly some farmers caught it and tied it up so the chickens could mess with it, therefore making the bird too scared to kill the chickens anymore.
>>
>>2018629
>making the bird too scared to kill the chickens anymore.

more like:
>making it too dead

Eagles are known to be able to carry small goats and even sloths

A small child may be possible
>>
>>2018640
Eagles don't carry goats, and small sloths aren't even comparable to a child.
An eagle could maybe fly off with a newborn baby, or yank a kid off a cliff if they were standing on the edge, but that's it.

>>
>>2018687
Have you actually watched that video? It didn't gain any altitude at all. It grabbed a goat on the edge of a cliff and drug it off. It's pretty apparent from the video there was no way in hell it would have been able to just pick the goat up or even fly at the same level as it.

That's... not a couple miles. It's a pretty quick descent for "flight" at that.

As for the thread, raptors are pretty cool but they're supposedly not very smart, so corvids are better.

Those were Golden eagles .
They are Xbox-huge, and they grab those sheep/goats, pull them over the edge and then let go. They don't fly with them. Only if it was a lamb would they do that, and even then, it's more effort than necessary
