Hey guys I was thinking about making some /an/imations and was just wondering if you guys think its a good idea.

Would you watch a show where each episode is based on a different animal and its struggles, triumphs and eventual death?

No dialogue or humanised personalities, just animals being animals but in a dramatised manner.

No. Why bother? Even if you were an amazing animator with a unique or well developed style, really there's no point in doing this when we can just watch real animals. Your animation isn't going to truly capture everything about them.

You don't need dialog but have an interesting story to go along with it. You want people to keep interested. Also animation is basically dead if you're a free lancer, btw.

This is true but i remain hopeful in my endeavors. If I can still enjoynanimating then Ibcall it a victory.

Also yes there would definitely be story lines andntwiwts etc.

It would just follow one individual animal from one individual species and the things it must go through

What if they were dinosaurs

I would watch it. That's the sort of thing I always wanted to see when I was a kid.

The first moments of a hatchling sea turtle would fit what your trying to do perfectly.

I was thinking that, or maybe even the loneliness of an olm or a slow loris on coke

Really good idea honestly

Need any help?

Always, maybe we could brainstorm the story and characterz, and then I could storyboard it and we could start collabprating on the pieces

/co/mrade here. I'd check out something like this, sounds like a good idea.

Asking why someone would animate an animal when you can watch the real thing is like asking why would anyone ever draw or paint an animal when you can just take a photograph. It's missing the point.

Animate a video game instead.

Animator here, I've actually been toying with this idea. Also making a realistic animal simulator, probably with stray cats. Maybe spiced up a bit, but based in fact
