If you just know CS you can work for $100-500k at tech companies ($300k plateau is realistic). I wouldn't bet on these $1m developer salaries anymore.
In finance you can pass $500k in your 30s just with lots of hard work and not so much entrepreneurial luck but the quality of life is lower.
