so I just went to launch with a manager girl at my work so I can ace a interview for her old job, but when I showed up she dressed nice and had makeup on (she never wares the stuff) and we talked for a hour and a half about work a little and the rest about junk,and she was very into the convo...... did I just go on a date with out knowing it?

I was going to say, the easy answer is wait until you've got her old job, then ask her out...
Is she going to be your boss or your boss's boss? If so, then dating her is a no-no.
Otherwise, in my experience you can usually tell that a girl at work likes you when she goes out of her way to walk though the office near where you are, or says hi often, and tries to keep conversations with you going.
I guess, make lunch plans again (wait a week or two,) and if she dresses up again then I'd say you've got the green light.
