Stop self pitying and being desperate at first. Nothing is more repulsive. There are a lot of guys out there, you just need to reach them.
Work on bettering yourself and clearing up your act. Be healthy, hygenic, don't be fat, dress pretty but elegantly, apply minimalistic but good looking makeup. If you want a guy long term, you want to send him the message that you're a reliable, normal, down to earth, fun girl who is worth time to spend with. Learn to flirt.
If you're a natural bitch, learn to control yourself. Don't emasculate the guy you're trying to date, be supportive, kind, and caring. Be confident, but don't push everyone down aggressively. Learn to operate in a team and a hierarchy. Don't nag. Having reasonable opinions and standing up for yourself is a good thing, always knowing better and not being satisfied with anything is bad.
Socialize a lot with new people. Get into new activities hobbies, groups where you can meet new people. Have a character, some positive and specific trait or activity people remember you by. Leave positive impression on the people you meet, so you will be respected.
If no guy is interested be forward, but be casual and friendly, always give guys the opportunity to back out and to close the deal. Just show them that you're valuable and have a good time.
