The rest either are too busy in real life to care about an imaginary internet war or just troles.

They both hold very different ideologies in regards to communication. These differences seem to, real or not, cater to a certain user base that they find unsatisfactory

Having a system where the users are not anonymous and has a rating system is inherently flawed.

Reddit is the polar opposite of 4chan. Because of the rating system, people jockey for upboats by trying to make the funniest pun. Back and forth discussion is impossible when only the highest voted posts get to the top, and unpopular opinions are down voted and hidden. 4chan does have a board culture, and Reddit-tier posts bring the quality of the site down even more. Most Redditors fundamentally misunderstand his website as a whimsical meme factory where everyone is contrarian just for the sake of being different, and it shows in he way they post.
