My neighbors are outside a lot, so they see me when I'm coming and going sometimes.

Majority of the time, I just wave or nod or something. But, occasionally they'll pipe up, and I'll have to ask how it's going, or bullshit about her wearing that Denver Broncos shirt.

They're the kind hearted good type of neighbors.

But, on the other side of my house, is a fucking white trash meth den with an aggressive head of household. We got into it a few times, but he hasn't said anything since. Just mean mugs me, but whatever not my business he knows where I live if he's got a real problem with me.

You should pretend to be normal for the few minutes you see them and say hello and ask how they are. I'm the most anti social fuck I know, but even I pushed myself to be on somewhat friendly terms with my neighbors. When I went on vacation two weeks ago, the family living next door asked if I wanted them to come feed my pet bird while I was gone. I gave them a spare key - not an easy thing for me to do at all considering my trust issues - and that's exactly what they did. So, neighbors can come in handy even.
