When does muscle twitching become worrying?
Some of my muscles twitch when moving up or down; the most noticeable is my arm when i move my forearm down.
I also have random muscle pulsing but that's just stress i think.
>>
>>17339910
Muscle twitching is pretty common.

I'd say I'd be worried if it was progressive, associated with weakness, loss of coordination, sensory disturbance, muscle wasting or hyper/hyporeflexia. Or if it was associated with prolonged diarrhoea or vomiting.
>>
So, when I'm playing sport or doing physical activity occasionally I'll get this sudden extreme pain in the back of my neck feeling like a vein has burst. That's the only way I can describe it. Pain lasts for 10-15 seconds decreasing over that time. The pain is unbearable at first. You have any idea what it could be?
>>
>>17339914
My coordination is not the best but i can't tell if it qas better.
The thing that worries me is because my mom's hand shake a lot and now she can't keep her head still; my sisters said it is because she drank a lot, but it still worries.me.

Can one experience sexual arousal without an erection?
>>
>>17339916
You've probably pulled a muscle or irritated a tendon at the back of your neck that you're not giving enough time to heal and is prone to re-injury.

I assume you don't get any shooting pains down your arms. Is it sore to touch at the time?
>>
>>17339918
Yeah, of course you can.
>>
>>17339920
No pain in arms, fairly sure it's not a tendon as the pain occurs maybe one time a week or sometimes rarer. And no it doesn't hurt to touch.

Is visiting the doctor on a regular basis something a normal person is supposed to do, like to get health checks or something? I haven't been to the doctor in over ten years.

What kind of doctor are you?
>>
>>17340302
Get some vaniqa. Lose some weight. If you have androgynous hair growth and irregular periods, go see your doctor for a blood test +/- an ultrasound scan of your ovaries.

>>17340312
Probably not.

>>17340316
Well you see a lot of people day to day. Very rarely get attached to patients, but on the whole, of course you want them to do well. But if someone dies it doesn't really upset me. Usually just "oh, that's sad" and you move on.

But I'm friendly and kind. I say the right things and make the right facial expressions.

The last time I had sex I experienced some kind of brief but fairly painful cramp in my abdomen after ejaculating. Am a male, never happened before.
>>
I think he/she does or else they would not be offering free advice.
>>
>>17340330
No, you shouldn't really be going for regular check-ups unless you have a chronic condition that needs monitoring.

I work in intensive care at the moment.
>>
Can you get an HPV vaccine if you have HPV?
>>
Sometimes get a gritty sensation back of neck, and sound exactly like sand squeeking underwater.
>>
Given the choice, would you rather get cancer or aids?
>>
>>17340336
If it's a one off I wouldn't worry. If it reoccurs then it should be addressed.

Have you ever had unprotected sex? Any problems with urination (burning, frequency, cloudy urine?).
>>
>>17340356
No, I've only ever had sex with escorts so I always use protection. Even then I'm kinda worried, should I get tested just in case?
>>
>>17340369
Sorry, to answer you other question I've had no symptoms at all. (No itching/burning, frequent urination, cloudy whatever, etc.)
>>
>>17340345
I'm not sure. I know that the HPV vaccine only covers two strains of HPV. It also depends on your demographics and whether you've already been sexually active. Couldn't really tell you much else, sorry.

>>17340348
Just your joints, bro.

>>17340352
Depends on the cancer and stage, but I would rather have HIV. If you're compliant with the treatment the viral load can be undetectable and you have a longer life expectancy than people with say, type 2 diabetes.
>>
>>17340376
Ok well that makes the STIs that can cause that symptom pretty unlikely.

Might be worth having your doctor feel the ol' prostate and spermatic cords to see if it's inflamed. But as I say, if its a one off, wouldn't worry.
>>
I work a desk job. When I get home, I stay in bed and sleep as long as possible and fuck around on the internet on my phone in bed when I can't. I eat fast food on my work breaks, and don't eat much except for crackers and peanut butter occasionally while I'm at home, otherwise I stay in bed.

How soon will this kill me?
>>
>>17340396
In about 15 to 20 minutes. I hope you greet death as an old friend.
>>
>>17340301
So you're saying what you do has NOTHING to do with history?
>>
>>17339904
Do I have type 2 diabetes? 20 years old, 130kg, mostly eat chocolate and junkfood, drink a lot of water/always thristy.
>>
>>17340403
You're at risk, yes.
>>
>>17340413
Nice. And how easy is it to die from diabetes if it is ignored and no medication whatsoever is taken?
>>
Is osama bin laden still alive?
>>
>>17340418
If it goes wildly uncontrolled and you continue to be fat, it pretty much fucks up every part of your body.

You become a vasculopath, high risk of strokes, heart attacks, leg ulcers leading to necrotic toes/feet potentially requiring amputation. Your nerves die giving you chronic pain, numb hands and feet. Your retina bleeds causing blindness. Your kidneys get churned up causing chronic renal failure potentially requiring dialysis and causing fluid overload causing you to drown internally.

All in all, it's pretty fucking horrendous.
>>
>>17340433
Sure, but how quickly would it kill you if left completely untreated?
>>
>>17340435
You would probably live to say 50 or 60 with a shit quality of life towards the end (e.g. hemiplegic from a stroke)
>>
>>17340335
>Get some vaniqa. Lose some weight. If you have androgynous hair growth and irregular periods, go see your doctor for a blood test +/- an ultrasound scan of your ovaries.
Not that anon but does that "androgynous hair growth" also apply to the happy trail area? I hate having to shave that shit.

My shoulders are kinda weak and I've been put in the hospital 3 times over 3 years for extremely painful dislocations.

What exercises, foods, vitamins etc. should I be doing/taking to prevent that from happening again?

I feel fine now but when I tried swimming with family in April I felt some really worrying pain and couldn't do it but I feel fine now.

My brain feels extremely foggy and I feel weak. What are the odds that I suffer from sCJD?
>>
>>17340345
I'm not the doctor, but I'm pretty sure you can. As they said, it only covers a few specific strains known to cause cervical cancer. Also, the strains that cause warts are not the ones that cause cancer. So I'm assuming you have had warts and that's how you know you have HPV? If so, then I believe you could still gain protection from cancer strains via the vaccine.

I think they are starting to vaccinate all teens now, including guys, so I think you could get vaccinated if you wished.
>>
>>17339904
So, how annoying would it be if you had a patient that had no knowledge of their medical history or family medical history and possessed absolutely no paperwork? Like, someone whose parents handled everything involving them seeing a doctor right up until they were kicked out and cut off contact at about 18 and then they just managed to never go to a yearly physical or any of that shit until their 30s and didn't know the first thing about it? Would that cause complicated problems?

I'm basically a neet with no social skills and really bad anxiety, and I think I should maybe see a doctor but I've developed a weird phobia about embarrassing myself because I apparently don't know how to be an adult.
>>

For a year or so my right leg will give out at what seems to be random. It's always extremely painful and in the calf of the leg. When it gives out I usually fall straight down in a collapse, not forward. It only happens sometimes but I can tell when it can happen because my leg will be hurting beforehand. Feels like strong pressure from inside the leg. Wtf could this be.

That's probably a tendon thing. I got some of those.
Do you lift weights? I think it's related. Like a repeated action thing

>none movable nodule under the left side head of my penis.
Cyst. You wank too much and you grew a zit there that got encysted by your body

You're probably have to shit bad. That happens. Pushes on your bladder, see.

You don't got cancer, nigger. I've had all your symptoms before. And I'm still alive.

I've got the go Bill to help me through most of it, and I've got enough money to pay for undergrad mostly. I've got 2 more years in the military and I could hopefully get some classes done.

Anything extracurricular that would make me a better candidate vs my peers? Or people my age?

Thanks for the advice btw

Occasionally when I walk into a new room, I temporarily lose vision (vision is a sort of dull blackish - purple color), and I'll get a tingly feeling. Any idea what's up with that?

Gastroscopy and biopses (samples of lining stomach/intestines) half a year ago were negative for everything. Conclusion of doctors: stomach acid. I've been on omeprazol 20 mg a day for half a year. It wasn't doing the trick anymore few weeks ago, so they upped me to 40mg a day. It's still not 100% effective after two weeks of 40 mg a day.

What is the next step?

Just the basics like diet and exercise advice, monitoring for complications like diabetes. If your BMI is 28 and you have complications you might qualify for orlistat in my country. You're not fat enough for weight loss surgery in my country.

What can I do about cracked ribs?
Don't want to hospital.
>>
>>17343766
Not much. Just pain relief. The main worry is that you have so much pain that you breathe more shallowly. This causes the bases of the lungs to collapse and then acts as a source of infection.

Take lots of paracetamol and ibuprofen and get your pain under control. Do a few breathing exercises now and then.
>>
>>17343754
>diet and exercise advice
i asked him about that and he told me to cut carbs and do sports. i told him i know how weight loss works but that i struggle a lot with actually keeping at it. i know that's probably not his concern, but could he help me find a trainer or nutrition consultant to help keeping me on track? i can't affor this on my own. i was hoping my insurance might cover a part of that if i get a "prescription". isn't orlistat the medication that binds fat? do the over the counter things work as well or is it worth asking for it?
>>
>>17343772
It doesn't affect my breathing very badly, just going from a sitting to a standing position is hell and I don't know if I should be laying down all day to keep them from not healing correctly.

>>17343782
It's more about calories. Google TDEE calculator and eat 500 calories less than it and you'll lose weight. You need to take responsibility for your own health rather than have someone hold your hand through it. If you can't be bothered to stay on track then you have to face the consequences.
