i have a month to find a place to live and no one is hiring me. i've been searching since may, when i've graduated.
i'm getting interviews but i'm not getting the job for whatever reason.
i'm making some cash online with my art but it's not a liveable wage due to how unreliable and incredibly varied the payment is. (also some people are just flaky as fuck when it comes to paying) i can't even tell you an average because some weeks i'll be earning as much as 400, but other weeks i'll be lucky to earn 50 bucks.
i have 1k in savings from an internship... that'll buy me an extra month of time to find a job but not much else.
what can i do in my situation?

Interview tip: fake it till you make it. Sounds cliché but trust me if you act confident in what you say, walk with confidence speak with confidence, you'll seem confident to those around you. And don't worry so hard being nervous isn't a good thing and it may be the problem of having a bad interview. Getting a job will solve most if your problems, remember that and try harder to get the job. Thats all i can say hope it helps even a little

thanks, i suppose that helps a little. i realize once i get a job, this nightmare-ish stress will end or at least tie a few knots down to my problems.
in the case of my interviews, i'd like to think i sounded fairly confident, but humble and excited as well. maybe i came off as desperate, i don't know, i admit i kind of am.

trying to save and earn up a bit of cash in the meanwhile to last another month if i need it. it's meagre but i'm trying to prepare my anus for failure, should it come.

i'm too stupid for any math or science-related degrees. but i'm pretty good at art.
i've been applying to game and animation studios (which is where i'm getting my interviews from) but i'm also applying to restaurants and stores (which has been completely fruitless).
what i suspect with the min wage jobs not calling me back is that i don't have any experience. i had one job as a host/busboy at a restaurant 3 years ago, but i was fired for sucking at my job, so i can't even put them on my resume.

I've gotten every one of my jobs by knowing people, and idk if you're aware but most of the time your resume will go straight to trash

my sister is trying to squeeze me into the industry, since she's already in the field.
but other than that, i'm friendless (hence 4chan) and so is my mom. she is flying back to our native country because she got sick of feeling lonely, hence the 1 month notice.
i guess i'm a little bit screwed. i suppose i could ask my profs for any job opportunities at the risk of sounding like i'm using them.

You can make decent money off commissions if you know how to play your cards right. Go attack popular niche's with animations that'll garner interest. I know Terkoiz personally and he ended up being hired by Riot due to making those League of Legend videos.

There is less talented animators that are set due to their ability to know where to tacitly market themselves.

Ask your profs and go to your colleges career center, basically do anything, ask everyone you know; half of the benefit of college is the connections you make through networking, use all of them this is desperate times bro

and what are some tips i can do to get more commissions? i figure i could always pander with fan art to grab attention first or otherwise draw porn... i've been having trouble trying to get my stuff noticed for a while now.
right now i've been just posting my rates and examples on tumblr and deviantart and such, as well as responding to postings.

this is true. i knew how important the connections were, but any that i've made were severed after stupid drama which involved a crazy, but apparently very influential ex. fuck, the more i think about it, the more i realize how i fucked up every one of my chances.
i'll head down the career center and email my profs. maybe try my luck at some of my classmates.
