Simple question, would love to hear from someone with experience in the Computer Science field.

Is it a good idea to go with a degree in mathematics if I wish to get into software engineering. I'm afraid that the degree is over saturated and that skills given in mathematics coerces would make me a beneficial asset.

Stick with Comp Sci as your Major. Add Math as a Minor. Or if you think you can handle the workload, add Math as a second Major. That would look good on a resume.
