I wouldn't put too much thought into anything with him if you've never experienced or thought of it before. You need to explore your own sexuality and determine why you're having those feelings. In the end, you could be gay, you could be bi, and you could just be attracted to a person you think has an awesome personality. All of which are perfectly fine.

This may be a little much, but just go look at images of males on google (not porn) and just try to assign his personality to those people. If you find yourself thinking some of them are "cute," try to image them without his personality. If you still continue to think some are cute, there may be something there.
