How the fuck do I get myself to cope with being alone? All of my friends that I would regularly hang out with have either gotten in a relationship or gotten distant probably because I'm a boring piece of shit. I just want a friend so I can go outside and do stuff. I hate doing things on my own because it just feels boring or pointless. Like, I would like to go hiking or just go out to eat or something but doing it alone doesn't really feel good to me. Is there a way to fully become independent. I feel like I've relied too much on people and I want to become mentally stronger so I feel great being on my own. I just hate being on my own at the moment. How do I do it?

Forgot to add that I also don't want to get in a relationship because that seems pointless to me too. I just feel like I want a couple friends so I can do things with them comfortably like going outside. OP here ofc

Start small. Go on a short hike alone first then increase the length and difficulty. You'll begin to feel more comfortable as time goes on.

Basically this OP, the only way to tolerate being alone all the time is to take it day by day until the mind-numbingness becomes more comfortable than not being alone ever was.

The sensation probably won't ever change, though. You'll just grow to be attached to it, eventually.
