friends do taunt me occasionally so im sure that has something to do with it

You need to get the attitude of "idc about the outcome of a game, there is always next game" and just try to enjoy... Pick supports, tank for your team. Also go and play single player games or just play for pure trolling not in the die intentionally type.. It might annoy you
If you die in a video game, think about why you died; what stupid mistakes you made. Channel your anger into something productive.
This is honestly the easiest way to get 'good' at video games. Take an analytical perspective towards the events that unfold, as opposed to an emotional one.
Become a video game god and shit on your friends, ez.
