>get CDL to drive semi trucks
>go to high end driving company to begin job
>get sent home because my CDL school didn't even teach me how to drive a 10 speed.
>27 years old
>living at home
>have girlfriend for 7 years
>shes about to graduate and be making 40-60k a year
>I make 20k a year doing data entry, but it's not a reliable long term job

What should I do? What is a trade, or job that I could go into where I can support a family?

Not OP, but I did five years and hated it. I had a lot of shitty experiences (more so than is usual: terrible supervisors, terrible duties, E-5 promotion delayed a year because admin screwed up my paperwork), but in retrospect I realize it was my crabby mindset that made it as bad as it was.

I'm thirty-three now and kind of regret not applying for OCS right after finishing college.
