Desktop software, Android mobile apps, Web apps. Even though some things are better done in other languages, it's pretty much anything you can thing of.

eg. a youtube downloader, find the most popular word in a 4chan thread, iTunes, automatically organise your photos of girls laughing at salad, photoshop.

I don't consider programming hard, but I'm usually with professionals. It does take a lot of time.
