Buying a 1TB HDD for the first time in ever, need to know some do's and don'ts. Pretty much the only things I know is no second-hand, no Aliexpress or similar sites.
Thinking of getting a 50€ seagate one off of Amazon (.de), got advice for cheaper sites? Needs to ship to Sweden. Don't really care about speed unless you say I should.
Thanks.

I don't know about brands, but I think getting a decent sized drive is a great investment. Use a 1 terra myself, love how much I can install on it, and how many backups I can keep.
Just get bretty much anything.
Seagate has a high failure rate, though.
Ultimately, it doesn't matter.
I like WD personally.
Try to order it from a company within your own country. It usually comes out with cheaper delivery.

Basically anything 7200 RPM with the highest cable speed your mobo can support. If you have a need for that much storage, you apparently need to move large chunks of data around. Pirated games and movies unrar a lot faster if you have a faster drive, as long as your CPU and RAM can do it.

What are you using it for? OS, vidya, media, storage, backup, server? Do you care about sound, what is your budget?
