Sold a PS4 just a few hours ago, buyer pays with paypal and for postage as well. Then asks to collect it.
Is he trying to scam me? He only has 8 feedback.

I've been in the same situation several times before -being the buyer and drove around to the guys place. Both the seller and I had no problem.
Only reason why I do it is that I wanted it now, didn't want to wait at least a day for postage (if not more)
Meet him in a public place and have the shipping refund in cash.
Make him sign a letter that states he picked it up in person.

doesn't matter if he has the letter. eBay does not support transactions that take place outside their terms and conditions, one of which is that business be conducted through their approved channels.
Don't do it, OP. You ship it or he doesn't get it.

if he's collecting it in person just refund his money on paypal and ask him for cash instead. do the deal at a bank or outside a police station.
