Buy a big $10 bag of dried white rice and some dried beans. A whole, raw chicken, a dozen eggs, large quantities of potatoes/carrots/onions/celery (a single carrot will cost much more proportionately than a bunch of carrots).

Also buy whatever meat's on sale, invite friends over for a housewarming party and tell them to each bring a side dish. Cook the meat as your own contribution and eat leftovers for days. And eat over at your girlfriend's.

As a bodybuilder I eat alot of rice, oats, eggs, chicken and other shit and I can easily pull it off with 30 a week so taking as a fact that you dont need to gain weight, you can just buy a pack of oats 1-2$, eggs 1-2$ frozen chicken 5$ rice 1-2$ bread for pennies, butter and other chep things and you'll be fine.

Food is cheap as long as you keep it clean and stay away from expensive branded shit and sweets (mainly cuz of the price) when it comes to drinks, buy water, tea, fresh lemon. Just walk around local store and check for things you would like that costs dirt cheap
