The best thing you can do is let them hate you, just be straight forward and let them know that it is over and it doesn't matter what they do. Revenge porn is also illegal in some places, if this is the case let him know you are prepared to press charges.

What kind of asshole threatens to release pics? I'd just break all contact with him. Honestly it'd be shitty if he did release them but in most of the world's eyes he'd just be an asshole for doing so.

If you have record of him blackmailing you (like texts or msgs) then go to the police. Don't let him throw around comments like that, he needs to understand how serious it is to blackmail AND threaten someone. May want to also consider a restraining order.
If the pics and vids are of you underage then the police will notify the FBI and your ex will most likely fuck off so far away he'd never be able to talk to you again.
