I feel like there's nothing left to live for. I have no friends and no family. Nobody to care about me, nobody to motivate me so I'm just an apathetic sack of shit. I avoid changing my life because as I said, I have no motivation. I'm at the end of my wits. What should I do?

Clearly you do have motivation since you want something to happen. Unfortunately, if you're going to keep avoiding changing your life nothing's gonna happen. Things don't come to you if you just sit around waiting for it.

I'm sorry to hear that you're hurting. If you don't mind my asking, what happened to your family?
When I'm at my lowest, I find myself slipping into the cliched "random acts of kindness": it can't work miracles, but it's enough to see me through the rough patches. I don't have to go out of my way to find people who could use such an act: the ordinary logistics of work and commuting (and school, before that) put plenty of them into my path. All it takes is a small act -helping pick up dropped books, buying another item from the vending machine to free up the one that got stuck, opening doors for someone carrying a heavy load, and so on- and you'd be surprised at just how much you can brighten someone's day. This reflects back onto you, if you let it, and while it cannot work miracles, it's been enough to see me through the rough patches.
This doesn't work for everyone, of course. I take it you don't get out of the house much, and that decreases opportunity. But a little structure can make something very like it possible: regular volunteer work is one possibility. Actually living for other people isn't a very healthy way to go long-term, but it can work in a pinch. I worked with the Special Olympics, and can recommend them for cases like this, but there are plenty of organizations to choose from.

Well, neither do I, but what I do know is that if you want something to change, then you're gonna have to do the work, and it's probably not going to be easy.
