Okay guys, I seripuslt need your help, this is starting to become a serious fucking problem, I don't really remember when or how it started, I'm introverted, but I am not depressed, or suffer and other mental issues at the time (which I am aware of, that is), I'm a hardcore /fit/izen, work out daily, people constantly complimenting my physique, but for a while now, I've been mutilating my toenails to the fucking point of this. HOW IN THE HELL DO I FUCKING STOP THIS SHIT? (Pic related, nail 1)

You sound exactly like me to the T. I'm pretty contempt with life. Don't really get frustrated over anything. Never get upset. Love working out. Pretty good looking and in shape. I'm 29 and my life is actually pretty sweet.
I don't know why I do it either but I've been doing it for like 10 years... Now I think I just do it because it feels good. But there's gotta be some deep down reason why I do it? I don't know... Do you enjoy it, the pain?

Yeah it does relieve some stress. I don't have much stress and the stress I do have is work related worrying about how much longer I'll have my job. Thanks oil field. I'd rather lift or run though to let off some steam but I've just made such a habit out of picking at my nails that I'll end up doing it anyway.
So I guess a part of it is it's just a habit. A very bad habit that feels good. Habits are damn hard to break... I've been doing it for so long it's really hard to pinpoint why I started in the first place and now it's just a habit.
