I've been unemployed for 1 month and I was just offered a job I feel is beneath me.
The hours are ok, and it's conveniently located. The problem is, the pay is significantly less than what I'm used to. It's only been a month, and I've got other interviews, but no firm offers yet.
Should I decline the offer and hope for something better? Or is there any reason I shouldn't just take it until I find my dream job?

Why are you unemployed?
What is your living situation?

No but I have some savings that will last me at least a few more months.
The work seems easy, I don't think I'd have any problems. I'm just worried I'll take a step down in my career.

I was fired from my last job. That's one reason I thought of taking it, just to avoid the interview question, "why did you leave your last job?"
I don't really have many expenses other than food and entertainment. I know I'll get more interviews, just no telling when an offer will be. I can probably survive a maximum of 6 months on my savings.

The average job search takes at least 6 months. It's a little early for you to get desperate.
