Alright so soon I'm going to start university (college) and i really can't wait, the problem is my girlfriend is coming with me so I'm worried about being able to do what I want when I want. Anyone here been through this with their partners?

She doesn't control me but she has a hard time making friends so she has to stick around me often and that always ends up in her saying she doesn't like my friends

do you even want to date her mate? it sounds to me like you dont. cuz if you wanted to date her you'd be like 'we sat down and discussed colleges that have good programs for the degrees we each want'. not 'SHE CHOSE MINE GAWD GIVE ME SPACE, LIKE AT LEAST 5 STATES'.
its okay to want to break up wtih her. in fact its okay to break upw ith her. you dont need any reason. saying 'we were great in highschool but its time to start our lives' is as valid as any.
even if it wasn't whats the point in staying with someone you dont want to be with out of obligation? imk not saying you hate her or cant stand her or want her out, but it sounds to me like you were looking forward to starting over like most people do and expected her to take the hint when you didnt discuss college with her.

either way, think about what you really want and just remember, you dont need to stay with anyone. go meet other girls. go experiment with your sexuality. go get drunk. do it all in one night. whatever.
