Is there any actual reason for a woman who can financially support herself to get married?

Everyone is so fucking hyped about finding themselves a man and I just can't see what's in it for me. Being a free nanny for someone for nothing in return forever.

If you want poor Arab Prince who all of his country other rulers became illuminatis and took him down from the throne and illuminatis tried to kill him over 200 times.

Am up for a woman like you. Am nice. But sometimes when am pissed I could move my 250 million mass alliance with all terrorist organisations all over the world.

Nope.

No reason for anyone to get married except for alimony, child support and other taxables (which is why the media and government tend to push it quiet a bit).

Being married sucks for both genders... but for men it can pretty much lead to debtors jail or homelessness if SHTF so, good for you, not exploiting and encouraging the system.

Stay away from marriage.

Uh huh.

Think I'll pass.
>>
Being married is not the same as being a SAHM...
and if you get married for any other reason than wanting to make your commitment and promises official, you are a retard.
>>
>>17114917
What a weird thread. Um no please don't get married for financial benefit. Done.
>>
>>17114917
If that's all you see marriage as, then you probably should not get married.

But how come is everyone else so fixated on it? Why does my mom keep telling me to find me a man?
>>
>>17115043
Most parents want grandchildren. It's hard to have children as a single parent.
>>
Companionship. When you're over a certain age most of your peers have marriage/kids so you won't have anyone to hang with regularly. Doesn't sound like a big deal but when you go for weeks/months without real conversation it becomes a real problem.
>>

I dunno, I love being married.

It's like being on a small team, and it's us against the world. As time goes on and your victories outnumber your losses, you feel like you've built something.

It's nice having someone that always has your back. I have that in my current marriage, but I did not in my first.

I giggle at all the times I'm just bored and ask "wanna go fuck", and the answer is almost always yes (sometimes one of us just isn't in the mood, but there's no rejection drama).

Nice to have someone to share those deeply private fantasies with, and maybe even get to try them out.

To each their own, but my only advice for marriage is actually to wait until your older. I know all the "cock carousel" memes, and the "beta provider MGTOW" stuff, but only with age will you discover who you are and what you really want in a partner. When kids get married, they have no idea what they are doing, and it explodes pretty frequently. I think they are just going through the motions of life, and the girls want their "special day", and the boys see it as some kind of rite of manhood or something.

REEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
Man and women compliment each other. They are meant to compliment each other and that is the only way how you can produce kids.
Stay childless you fucking feminist but let the people alone!

>special day
>rite of manhood

No, get maried early is a great thing. The woman is very fertile and the man is the strongest at the age of ~21-35, just choose your partner carefully.
>>

Edit:
there is also a moral benefit, you dont have the urge for sex and you dont need to watch porn or go have sex with another person every week...
It is the best if sex is only done after mariage or with someone you certainly will merry.

Alright real talk - all these people on here talking about one thing and one thing only: What's best for them.

You have to think about what's best for you in a non-judgmental, non-biased way. I can't do that for you, here are a few things to consider.
>The older you get, the worse your mate selection pool
From a purely technical/numbers point of view, as you age your pool of suitors will diminish. I see this in my own life as I age as a man - women have started throwing themselves at me as I have aged, especially women above the age of 25. As much as I want to believe it's all of my hard work, it's also that there are fewer suitable men left. At least that's what they tell me. Age preference is *real*. It doesn't explain everyone obviously, but it's absolutely a general rule of thumb. So keep in mind that if you change your mind when you're 30+, you had better hope there are still suitable men left.

That being said, being older hopefully makes you wiser and more in-tune with your own preferences. So while your pool diminishes, your ability to find men good for you should increase. That doesn't mean they'll be as physically attracted to you though as you age, which matters to a majority of men and IMO affects the sex, etc. People need to be attracted to each other.
>Free time
Also, as you age, your free time becomes limited and forces you to be laser-focused. This is compounded by kids. This means you don't have time to flit around looking for love. It's Friday night, you've worked your ass off all week, and I doubt you'll feel like "going out" especially to meet men. I hear 30 and 40 somethings bitching about it all day at the office.

This is all compared to a "good" marriage; most marriages suck shit. I hear people bitching about those all day too.

I'm 22, infertile, and already too ugly to find a companion who'd fuck me twice. Is this advice still relevant, or is the choice I have between settling to dying alone and the gross 50-something men?

I've never been into older men. I've met more 16-year-olds I've liked than 46. Not that I'd pursue them, I'll leave kids for kids.

>too ugly to fuck twice
Meaning you're fat and you're not really into the sex.
And you likely have unrealistic expectations given the way you allow yourself to look, unless you're one of those incredibly unfortunate souls that have a really fucked up face.

Suggestions:
>stop being fat
>get more into sex
>see a plastic surgeon

>or lower your expectations

I'm around BMI 20-21 usually, but I do really, really, really fucking hate sex. And I have a very specific type that I like, well-groomed fat guys. Those always seem to be taken, and I'm starting to think the only way to obtain one is to get an otherwise pleasant, nice-looking guy and make him fat yourself.

How do I fix the former?

Having a big fancy wedding where you get to live out your princess fantasies. Oh and you get most of his stuff lol.

Dad died, I got 50% of his shit, including the reinbusement of the mortage he no longer had with mom. I have more stuff than 100% of the guys I meet.

You sound like an ugly person. Without even seeing what you look like.
>>
I feel like you either get it or you dont. I get it, but I dont think I'll ever find a person that I find good enough for me even though I'm a narcissistic shit myself
>>
>>17116705
Do you mean emotionally or physically ugly?

I'm 23, and everyone around me is either getting married or having children and I'm like...are you sure this is what you want? You're not even 25 yet and someone is already calling you dad

>>17116768
Marriage was invented solely for the purpose of raising kids you fucking queer.

Animals in the wild don't marry, yet they stick around to raise offspring. Marriage has more to do with companionship and connection.

This is something I'd thought I'd never read. I'm sure if you went on /fa/ you'd find lots of nice fellas who fit this description.

When a man marries a woman, her money is her money and his money is 'our' money. But women have it so rough...not exactly
>>
>>17116829

With generalizations and mindsets like this then no wonder the divorce rate is at 50%. If I'm marrying someone, I'd hope I've done so much screening that we won't be doing so just to leech off of each other.
