I'm a life-long Republican who is part of the #NeverTrump movement.

I don't know what to do now that that fool is the GOP nominee. I feel lost and abandoned by my party. I need help from my bros in /adv/. Should I stay home or go big and vote for Hillary in November?
>>
>>17106786

Maybe just take a break from politics for awhile. You have a few months to decide, you don't have to go off half-cocked now just because you're sad/pissed off
>>
>>17106786
Vote third party.
>>
>>17106786
why do you feel you have to choose between the people that are presented to you? write in votes are valid and you aren't selling yourself a delusion of "picking the winning team", especially when both teams are more or less out to just fuck you over.
>>
Vote for Hillary or 3rd Party, it's only 4 years
>>
>>17106786
Vote for the other guy.

But as a Democrat, I'm disappointed Cruz dropped out so soon. I honestly think he would've won here in California
>>
>>17106786
Trump is going to win, like it or not. Hillary might not make it that far, the indictment against her is strong and relentless. People have done far less and didn't get away with it. Maybe you can vote for mr. golly gee whiz kasich.
>>
>>17106833
>Trump is going to win, like it or not.
>the indictment against her is strong and relentless
Delusional.
>>
Hhilary doesn't like net neutrality, likes the NSA, and hates encryption. Don't fucking vote for her. She's literally a robot.
>>
>>17106848
Hillary*
>>

With the exception of one poll, Hilary beats Trump in every prediction.

Truthfully I think we're fucked either way. Trump will set this country back socially by 60 years, and fuck up our foreign relations.

Whereas Hilary will get nothing done thanks to the parties butting heads like they have been for the past 8 years
>>
Oh shit that was decided already? Fuck, how did this happen?

Wait so it'll be Bernie vs Trump? I literally know nothing about Bernie except that people call him a socialist. He's not worse than Trump is he?
>>
>>17106894
Sanders makes Obama look like Lincoln.
>>
>>17106894
Clinton vs Trump most likely, not Bernie.
>>
>>17106878
>Whereas Hilary will get nothing done thanks to the parties butting heads like they have been for the past 8 years
Which is ultimately why I'm going with her. Hillary will be disastrous but survivable. Trump must be stopped.
>>
>>17106899
He's that bad, huh? Fuck.

>>17106900
>>17106901
Isn't she basically a liar and a criminal?

My gut is telling me to vote against Trump. Mainly because his supporters tend to be idiots.
>>
>>17106911
>Isn't she basically a liar and a criminal?
Not any more than anyone else is.
>>
>>17106786
>>>/pol/

>Isn't she basically a liar and a criminal?

Hillary is both of those and incompetent too. Trump is the lesser of the evils. He's at least honest about his intentions.
>>
>>17106919
> He's at least honest about his intentions.
No he isn't. He's just good at pandering to his base, and you fell for it.
>>
>>17106919
>Trump is the lesser of the evils. He's at least honest about his intentions.
Trump contradicts himself all the time. He just says whatever he needs to say to get votes. He doesn't care about America. He doesn't care about you. He only cares about plastering his name on shit. Running for president is just a ploy to plaster his name on American history.
>>
The way I see it, if I vote for Hillary and she fucks things up, well, that's politicians for you, who can ya trust? If I vote for Trumo and he fucks things up, I would literally never let myself live it down and probably have to kill myself for my own retardation.
>>
>>17106919
If Trump is honest, then he's woefully misinformed, and too dangerous to elect. Most of the crap that comes out of his mouth is demonstrably wrong. You morons just eat it up because you agree with it.
>>
Don't vote. I might be in the same boat now that Sanders is going to lose. This country has chosen, and unfortunately my countrymen are retarded.
>>
>>17106786
We need to start a movement. This election is the one where a third party needs the time of day. The republicans and the demacrats have both proven that they can only produce psychopaths and liars. If enough people vote, and enough people believe in America and not in the two party system.... we could break the cycle
>>
Have your best friend knock you into a coma days before the election so that you can't vote.

You can vote third party too. Libertarians aren't far from conservatives, right?
>>
Hey look buddy.

Democrats fall in love.

Republicans fall in line.

Back Trump because the only a true republican wants lowered taxes.
>>
Look at a different political party, Independent, Libertarian, etc. Heck, I would run. But I would never get voted in because "I would actually fix what needs to be fixed"
>>
I'm curious of your reasoning.

I'm actually a lifelong leftist who has been leaning towards the right more and more and I support Trump.
>>
Is kasich still in?
>>
>>17106894
If Bernie wins America will basically be like europe
>>
>>17107687
Technically but he only has 157 delegates
>>
>>17107690
No it won't. Making a single payer healthcare system isn't going to magically transform us into Sweden or something.
>>
>>17107687
yes, he's still in dominoe's

You have it the complete fucking opposite. Hillary is ultimately an insider, she has enough pull within congress to really shove some shit through. Maybe not as much as the left would like, but Obama managed to shove Obamacare of all things through.

Meanwhile, everyone would be united against Trump from both aisles. Where the fuck do you get the idea that he'd be able to set the country back, if he couldn't actually push anything through? A vote for Trump is a vote for an ineffectual president, which is his main appeal for me right now.

>>17107687
Only in the loosest sense.

>You can vote third party too. Libertarians aren't far from conservatives, right?
On economic issues, yes. But on social issues, they have far more in common with liberals.

Now that I think about it, I'm not sure that anyone in the US has organized into an opposite counterpart to the Libertarians (economically liberal/socially conservative). People often tend to think of the Greens alongside the Libertarians, but they're too closely aligned on social issues to really be opposites. The concept sounds vaguely theocratic, but most such parties in the US went economically-conservative a long time ago. I wonder why no one has stepped into the role.

>>17106786
Trump is not the worst thing the come to the republican party. The tea party will alqays have that spot.
>>
vote libertarian senpai

trump wont be that bad anyway
>>
>>17106911
so youll vote for a criminal because the supporters of one candidate are idiots?

ill take anyone over hilary, literally anyone, fucking id take slant eyed moot over hilary
>>
>>17108377
Why do you hate Hillary so much? I don't particularly like her myself, but the way people talk about her like she's actually Satan instead of just another career politician only interested in votes makes no sense to me.
>>
>>17108395
you know, most politicians are probably scummy, corrupt and all that garbage

but at least they aren't so god damn blatant about it like this bitch, she literally committed a felony and is just walking around free running for president no less

you know how much that says about our political system and judicial system? fucking feds claim they can indict and they haven't? its fucking disgusting dude, don't get me wrong its always seemed like people in power were immune to the law, but when its so in your face it really drives it home and it makes me seethe

sorry i went full blown leddit there but god damn
>>
>>17108367
> The tea party will alqays have that spot.
Yes, because the notion that we should be fiscally responsible and don't need a half a trillion dollar military budget against a bunch of sheep fuckers with AKs is just crazy.

Anyway, give Trump a chance. He can't be any worse than Bush was.
>>
>>17108413
No, but the tea party was all about halting progress whether it be passing a budget or passing healthcare. Politics isn't about all or nothing, the least you can do is wnsure the government is functional.
>>
>>17108413
>tea party
>fiscally responsible

Their main purpose was to lower taxes on the rich. It's so easy to manipulate poor and uneducated people.
>>

The current trend shows it'll be a repeat of 1984 when Reagan beat Mondale in a landslide. America Will Be Great Again.

> passing healthcare
Obama didn't pass healthcare. He taxed the poorest of the poor, forcing them to buy healthcare, and then shoveling the economic burden for subsidies off on the states.

Now I have to pay $150 a month for a plan with a $6800 deductible that doesn't pay for doctor visits. What part of that sounds like healthcare to you?
>>
>>17106786
What you don't understand is America is now and has been for some time an illiberal democracy, your vote is just a tool. The next president for America has already been decided and everything up to him/her being innagurated is an act put on for the American public to keep up appearances. Look up voting machine fraud, even the tools that take our votes are privatized and backed by politicians. It really doesn't matter who you vote for at this point. Our nation's future has been in the hands of an elite few for many years now. And no I'm not talking about the illuminati.
>>

Hey man whatever flosts your boat.
