It depends. You see a lot of this in the bisexual and genderqueer communities, but it causes a LOT of friction between them and the gay and lesbian communities (who see a lot of gay-rights issues as dependent on the idea that sexuality is immutable).
It's also a common point between the B/Q community and homophobes that neither side is even remotely comfortable with.
