I just recently started drinking casually (getting really drunk but only one or two times a month) and it did great things to me socially.
Thing is, I want to start going to the gym, can I continue drinking like this? No science and stuff, I read about it a lot. I want some real life experiences.

Yeah, just avoiding drinking a shitload of beer. The fittest people I know get absolutely wasted regularly once or twice amonth.
U don't go to gym but I do a bit of training myself at home, have a weight bench, but i prefer cardio, i drink beer nearly every day, and often a bottle of spirits on the weekend and am although it definatly does slow mr down i am still fitter and stonger than most people i come across. Been drinking like this for the last few years, no sign of a beer gut and i dont think i will ever get one.
TLDR
Drink if you want, will only give you more of a challenge
