Hey /adv/ I need some help. I've been browsing forums online for seven years, that's seven years of shitposting, watching anime/reading manga, porn, general social isolation and escapism.
I'm so busy dissociating and imagining ideals that I'm not living my own life. Now I'm an obese socially inept boring unmotivated lard ass with no capacity to think.
How do I even start to fix this? These things bring me no joy anymore. I might get a chance at going back to uni this fall so maybe I can turn my life around. Help.

OP, just focus in improving your life. Cut down your online time (use a timer if you need to), pick up a new hobby. If you are obese, start eating right, and consider going to the gym eventually.
Study hard, keep it on track.

Emotional intelligence is something you develop by putting yourself in social situations, and learning about human interaction. I've been in your situation, came out of 4 years of NEETdom and entered school. Observe, learn the subtle social conventions, put yourself out there and always have courage. It's been 4 years and friends I know now say they'd never guess I used to be so socially awkward.
You need a creative outlet.
I'd recommend something that involves the outdoors. Maybe even music.
Point is: associate with anything other than the internet.
Join a group or a league or anything of that nature.
Not saying you should totally abstain from the internet, but use a good portion of your week being passionate about something.
As cliche as it sounds, you just gotta go out there what you happy. There's no rules.
