I was thinking of buying a cheap spring shotgun to get into airsoft. iv already played a bit with rented guns and i like the game alot. Im just not sure if i should make the jump for a $300 AEG or play around a little more with a $40 shotgun.?

Buy a sporterline aeg for about 140 usd. Not that expensive and pretty reliable. Just look around and see on airsoft forums what is recommended. You'll find better advice there than you ever will on here.
