im not even trying to be a straight edge loser when I say this: you WILL regret it. Unless its something like an army unit, a professional team you were a part of, or something that has a special meaning to you like a tribute to a dead loved one then all tattoos are mistakes.

Past teenage and young adult years people will either have a neutral or negative opinion of them and it only serves as a negative status symbol, kind of like a reverse rolex. As an avid Chrono Trigger fan, I'm still going to concur with other people here. Zeal would be butchered in a transition to a tattoo. Within a few years it'll just look like a big blob on your skin. I'm sure there are other Chrono Trigger pieces of art that would look better as a tattoo.

Calvin and Hobbes are at lease simple designs with lots of solid colors: the sorts of things that translate well to tattoo art.

You can get away with this with 8-bit games, for the same reasons. But most games after that era have too much fine detail to work well as tattoos. I do have one friend with an absolutely gorgeous tattoo of Amaterasu from Okami, but that game was specifically designed to imitate sumi-e artwork: a style that translates well to tattoo art anyway. Few contemporary games do that. Chrono Trigger certainly didn't.
