I'm not in love but I have a crush.

My best friend (girl) is an RA this year for the freshman in the dorm we lived in last year. We're young for our year though, so a lot of them are as old or older than her/me. Anyways she's got 90% boys on her hall, but has actually made good friends despite her initial worries.

One of the boys from her core friend group there is this really smart, sweet boy. He's very tall and skinny, but also very funny. He's super awkward but he uses it as a joke which makes situations relatable and silly. I've played smash with him a few times and he always chooses sonic. Apparently he always says things to my RA friend like "when is anonette coming to visit? I feel like she really completes our group"
He really likes cats and I really like dogs, so we snap eachother every day about our animals and jokingly compete about which species is better. He's played a lot of the same videogames as I have (we had a whole discussion about harvest moon the other day) and he's not huge on anime but he's secretly in to it.
I like him a lot but I don't see him asking me out any time soon. I think I'm plenty attractive/nice/click with him, but he's never had a girlfriend or had a kiss or anything so he's kinda shy and I don't think he'll make the first move.
I'm nervous to make any moves too though, because this one girl at the beginning of the year thought he was cute and asked him to have sex with her and he said "no thanks". I took that as him just having some decency, but I'm also nervous that I'll accidentally Coke on too strong so I need to watch myself and keep it really platonic for now.
