Hello /adv/.
I'm a MSTP student (e.g., MD-PhD-student) who finds that I easily want to do new things. I'm like an eight-year-old who, in the last three weeks, has wanted to go into computer science (I'm decent at programming as it is), wanted to take economics classes alongside med school (I've a few stocks and funds and economics generally interests me), wanted to do software development (not much room for creativity in medicine), wanted to take up drawing (I did some drawing in my teens but now just occasionally, once every year or so) and so on and so forth. Each of these bursts of "inspiration" last for a few days to a week. After that I want to do something else. I have heaps of unfinished projects, yet I never seem able to complete anything that isn't schoolwork. I want to get good at something, instead of being mediocre at everything.
How do I keep my concentration going?
