So I'm overweight due to the meds for my mental illness. anyway I don't care about being a old virgin. I just want to fit in society. you know get some status besides being a bum.
I've pretty much never had a job or want one that is a menial dead end job.
I'm going to college to learn and socialise this year.
....what to say? is there some good position/job where I can socialise and not be bore of the people. Have a fullfilling life.. and all life have to offer?
Why do you care about statut? You just became a wizard and that alone is pretty neat. Just use your new-find power to rock through life at god speed.
welcome to the circle of wizards
>So I'm overweight due to the meds
That's a really nice scapegoat for being out of shape.
Tell me, are you eating healthy and exercising everyday? I'm willing to bet you aren't, but don't let that discourage you from pretending that some tiny pills will give you pounds and pounds of weight and not actual food.
>never had a job or want one
Lazy fat fuck. How exactly do you think you're gong to fit in with society if you can't even contribute? Regardless of whether it's a dead end job or not, everyone needs to start someone. Go outside and exercise, the pills aren't what's making you overweight

Fucking retard
It's not the fucking pills that actually gives him the fat are you fucking stupid or something?

>completely, utterly missing the point of the post to nitpick an exaggeration

Not the worst bait, but definitely close.
I think it's great that you recognize college as an opportunity to socialize and grow as an individual.
Try to push yourself to meet new people and attend events on campus.
Try to smile, and be approachable. You don't have to be a phony but recognize that everyone's insecure so it pays to be welcoming.
As for the weight, I dont know what medication you're taking but i imagine your doctor recommends the basics: healthy food, weekly exercise, and normal sleeping hours. Take those to heart and up the exercise little by little (witin reason). Doesn't have to be crazy, start with taking walks in the morning and/or evening and if you're capable, transition to light jogs.
You can do it, buddy. Take it slow and give yourself positive reinforcement. People can change, it just takes time and a willingness, which I think you have!
You can do it!
As to the question about a job hunt, what interests you? You don't necessarily have to settle on anything because of limited experience, but you might want to at first as you make these first big changes in your life.

But it isn't.
I know a guy who went on meds and took on a lot of weight.
Did he change his diet?
Not the slightest.
Did he do less exercise than he used to?
Not the slightest.

Pills can cause weight gain, but nothing remotely excessive.
90% of people bullshit about their lifestyle habits, the amount of doctors who eyeroll after their patients tell them they've been eating nothing but good food is so astronomically high that they now have built-in bullshit detectors.
No pill can EVER offset eating correctly and exercise. Maybe you need to do more of it, but it is fully manageable and on you.
Blaming the pill is pure poppycock.

Different person here. I agree that no problem is ever one-sided but I think encouragement goes further than tough love. That said, i think you're trying to help op and i hope he/she appreciates and understands that.
