Yo /adv/, Im applying for a position as a research scientist at a startup nearby, and I need to know if my cover letter is up to snuff. My problem is that its being sent to a generic HR server, so I have no clue who to address it to. Here's what Ive got:
To whom it may concern:
It has come to my attention that Mucommune is scouting out candidates for a recently opened scientist position at your Chapel Hill location. With my strong background in research, breadth of experience, passion for hard work I believe I am an idea candidate for the position. I am amply qualified for this position, having knowledge of and experience with ELIZA, Western Blots, and Gel electrophoresis.
My strong personal work ethic, coupled with actual non-scholastic laboratory experience puts me ahead of most other recent graduates who may seek such a position. I have also long desired to be involved in healthcare, and see your company and its research as a natural fit.
