Then you're fucked. Accept it and move on. Becoming a truly good programmer takes a thorough understanding of algorithms, not just syntax. Btw coding is tedious and requires immense determination, so depending on your personality, it can be frustrating as hell.

It takes a lot of perseverance and a lot of time. Go and buy a book on C, lock yourself in a room with a six pack of mountain dew. Only leave the room to piss and shit. Stay until you have finished all the exercise and written a program of your own design using all the features taught in the book that is at least 500 lines of code.
If you can do this, you will be a decent programmer, as it shows your strength of character.
I've been programming every day since I was 11. It isn't hard. The only way to get better is practice.
Start with a simple project, then keep challenging yourself with bigger and more sophisticated projects.
I started by making a simple PERL script to start my bootleg movie downloads after my brother went to sleep so he wouldn't bully me for hogging his bandwidth while he played everquest. Then I made a blogger clone for my little emo-hacker vanity website. I kept challenging myself to think up projects I knew would force me to learn new things and writer better code.
Now I'm 26 and I make my living through algorithmic stock trading, using only my own software.
