How do I switch doctors? I have had the one have now ever since I became too old for a pediatrician, and only because my parents enrolled me with her.

I don't like her. She's unpleasant to talk to and seems to ignore me/cut me off when I'm talking sometimes. I actively avoid making appointments now because it would mean interacting with her.

In the UK you just ask for a different doctor when booking an appointment.

Look up available docs on your insurance website. Then look up the docs on a the internet and see what their ratings are. I've found that you can go by these limited bits of information. In a few cases, they kept me away from specialists who were real jerks.

When you find one that seems OK, call and make a new patient appointment. Good luck.
